Our location in Des Plaines, IL currently has an opportunity for a Commercial Analytics Business Analyst. This position will play a critical role to drive Global Commercial Excellence by driving the usage of facts and data to enable salesforce, sales management, and executive decision making. Person will manage a diverse workload of projects and activities in support of the AMD Global Commercial Excellence team. The person will work with internal customers to drive projects, enhance processes, and provide support to the sales marketing teams and headquarters. Will help implement new releases of the commercial suite of tools, especially data visualization via DOMO. Will be involved in the definition, analysis, design, testing, and ongoing support of the AMD Commercial Excellence solutions (i.e., DOMO, Salesforce.com, contract lifecycle management, pricing tools, etc.). This person will manage detailed design, testing, and deployment and administrative activities of Data Visualization Tools/CRM new releases and ongoing support. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

  • Acts as subject matter expert for salesforce processes, data visualization in DOMO and use of Salesforce.com, to share detailed knowledge and insights with peers.
  • Drives detailed Global Commercial business processes, business rules, tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, contract lifecycle management, VPT, etc.) and information flow. 
  • Uses strong written and oral communication skills to provide clear and concise information and insights to internal commercial teams and upper management.
  • Generates/disseminates reports for management for planning and review include pipeline analysis, win rates, opportunities, and adoption metrics.
  • Provides prompt and complete resolution to business and support issues.
  • Acts as a consultant and leverages competitive industry/technology information and recommends improvements that drive value and commercial effectiveness. Translates best practices into detailed process and tool requirements and deploy across commercial teams. 
  • Acts as liaison to training to provide subject matter expertise for training material development.
  • Develops project plans aligned to project management standards and executes projects.  
  • Documents business requirements and process flows as well as performs gap analysis against critical business requirements.
  • Maps business process and requirements and defines how process is enabled within the tools.
  • Leads functional design and review and testing sessions with Global, Area/Country commercial excellence teams. 
  • Executes global CRM administration functions including workflows, product lists, business rules, and facilitates execution across Area/Country administrative functions.   
  • Creates business communication and change management steps. Facilitates user feedback sessions and user acceptance testing, creating test scenarios and scripts, and leading test execution with business users.
  • Responsible for risk identification, resolution, and escalation to meet customer needs and work through challenges to a successful outcome.
  • Assists in time estimates, assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies.
  • Liaison between business users and the IT organization; balancing requirements and resources to solve business problems.
  • Champions sales process and tools within all groups including Sales, Marketing, Finance, QA, and Service. 
  • Recommend enhancements/releases based on value, ROI, global application, and customer needs.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
