**Job Description**

The Supervisor, Clinical Support Pharmacy is responsible for monitoring and ensuring clinical support staff completes their assignments within the pharmacy team to meet internal and external customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

-Applies appropriate ethical, legal, confidentiality, and advocacy principles to the planning and delivery of patient care.

-Develops and recommends changes as necessary to ensure effective and efficient communication among infusion team.

-Oversees the implementation and evaluation of new and existing processes.

-Executes plans of action to achieve clinical department goals.

-Oversees the interactions of clinical support specialty by observing and obtaining feedback from patients, and other team members.

-Responds to customer inquiries and resolves customer complaints (both internal and external). Communicates timely issues that require a nurse or pharmacist.

-Documents all communications in the patient clinical chart and obtains co-signatures from a nurse or pharmacist that relate to patient care.

-Retrieves on-call messages each morning and review on-call printout at the daily morning meeting.

-Functions as a clinical support specialist in accordance with all state regulations in the absence of staff to include any and all duties normally assigned to a clinical support specialist.

-Monitors team activities that support the pharmacy team processes.

-Supervises the activities of subordinate staff.

-Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.

-Provides timely coaching and feedback to subordinate staff.

-Ensures work assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.

-Responsible for hiring, coaching, conducting performance appraisals, and disciplining subordinate staff.

-Complies with the Company's policy on the allowable clean room garb and dress code requirements.

-Strong service orientation and customer service attitude.

-Effective written and verbal skills.

-Excellent problem solving and time management skills.

-Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**

-Minimum three years of related experience with minimum one year supervisory experience or proven record of progressive responsibilities or achievements.

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

-Candidate must be a Certified Technician or achieve certification per policy.

**Preferred Qualifications**

-Team Player

-Previous supervisory experience.


- High school diploma.

- Four-year college degree preferred.
