Primary Location University Job Category:Clerical & Administrative Organization:310009500 Ctr for Clinical & Translational Sci Employee Status:Regular Shift:Day/1st Shift Description !*!This position will conduct and understand all study activities in accordance with the protocol, IRB regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). To manage the life cycle of the clinical trial from study start-up through trial maintenance to study closure. To coordinate and organize patient care including recruitment, screening, scheduling, consenting, conducting visits, and collecting various assessments such as adverse event (AE) information or questionnaires. This position will also provide and support all aspects of coordination for clinical research. Tasks will include subject screening, recruitment, consenting, protocol driven nursing skills, data collection and assessments, AE and SAE assessments; communicating with the research team and the principal investigator, and working with sponsors and monitors. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Complete and maintain required training for facilities CRSP provides coordinators, UAB Hospital, TKC, VA and Children's Hospital. 2. Write and develop reports/spreadsheets as needed and as requested. 3. Attend staff meetings and other required and job relevant meetings. 4. Function as a research nurse coordinator for clinical trials covering a broad range of disciplines. 4. Task will be : subject recruitment, screening, recruitment; scheduling visits; meeting with and communicating with investigators, subjects and the investigative team; subject assessments and required study procedures; assess and manage safety; consenting subjects; start up and closeout procedures; budget development and budget management; and subject communications. 5. Perform other duties as assigned. (Annual Salary: $57,969.60 - $92,206.40) Qualifications @!*!Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. |
