Summary of Essential Job Duties: Functioning under the general supervision of the Service Line Manager and a licensed caregiver, the Clinical Care Associate (CCA) provides clinical and administrative support to nurses, physicians and allied health professionals (Clinicians) working in the hospital licensed clinics under the Ambulatory Float Pool. Functions may include patient interview, data collection, documentation in the medical record, exam room set-up, cleaning and preparation, ordering/stocking of medical supplies, general administrative support, and other duties as assigned. The CCA may also perform non-invasive routine technical services under the supervision of a licensed physician, surgeon or podiatrist who is on the premises. The Clinical Care Associate functions within his/her scope of education/ certification not to exceed what is permitted by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center policies, procedures and guidelines. Must have flexibility and ability to adapt to multiple specialty clinics. Educational Requirements: Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistance school (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Successfully meets or exceeds CSMC competency testing requirements for CMAs. Basic Life Support (CPR) from the American Heart Association **Must be Phlebotomy Certified** Experience: Full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Two years of previous medical office or clinic experience required Physical Demands: (e.g. lifting, standing, walking) Full body motion Full sensory response (vision, speech, hearing, smell, touch) Manual finger dexterity and fine motor skills with eye-hand coordination Frequent standing, walking, twisting (trunk, neck), bending (waist), flexing/extending/stretching (extremities and trunk) Occasional sitting, gripping/grasping, reaching below shoulder level, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, squatting Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull at least 100 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
