Job Description

Citi Investment Management (CIM) is a group within Citi Wealth that manages assets on a discretionary and advisory basis for mainly high and ultra-high net worth clients. With approximately $85 billion in assets under management and advisement globally, CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies within single and multi-asset class products. CIM is currently seeking a credit analyst to join our team of investment professionals and contribute to the investment management and portfolio construction capabilities of CIMs fixed income strategies. The candidate will be responsible for coverage of a number of sectors covering both investment grade and high yield. The analyst will report to the Head of Credit Research (based in the US) and work closely with CIMs global team of credit analysts and portfolio managers.

**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Undertake detailed credit research on issuers within allocated sectors

+ Maintain daily coverage of issuers within areas of responsibility

+ Monitor news and trends in allocated sectors and the wider universe

+ Contribute in credit strategy meetings and work closely with CIM portfolio managers and analysts to discuss views on market events and research

+ Work with PM team and contribute to overall investment strategy design, and implementation of credit risk in fixed income strategies

+ Endeavour to be pro-active and communicate clearly recommendations to investment team

+ Collaborate with wider CIM global investment team including CIM credit and equity analysts

+ Follow the broader investment views of CIM and CGWI.

+ Attend conferences and corporate management meetings as required

+ Produce ad hoc investment research as required

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency


+ Strong background in credit research, both investment grade and, ideally, high yield

+ Experience in the asset management industry preferred

+ Strong academic record. Intellectually curious.

+ Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

+ CFA preferred, or eagerness to pursue

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal relationship management skills

+ Strong analytical skills and technical insight - demonstrable mental acuity and flexibility

+ Passion for markets and investing. Eagerness to pursue a career in asset management

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Demonstrated ability to work hard both independently and as part of a team. Strong and demonstrable work ethic is essential

+ Strong PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

+ ESG experience preferred

+ Experience with face to face client interaction useful

Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the Certification Regime.
