The main products and services, that support the Commercial Bank target segment, include: Lending, Cash Management, Trade, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives and Capital Markets solutions. The CCB Business Data Governance Officer (DGO) ensures CCBs compliance with Citigroups Data Management Policy and Standards. This includes all aspects of CCB, with a focus on lending and client relationship data. This is a high visibility and impactful role that provides leadership in support of Citigroups data quality program.


**Key responsibilities include:**


+ Partner with Enterprise Chief Data Office (CDO) and ICG DGO to ensure CCB is compliant with the Data Management Policy by developing business-specific procedures where internal business processes are required to support the execution of the enterprise process

+ Oversee establishment of detailed procedures to enable governance of data management processes

+ Provide senior leadership within CCB with transparent and regular updates related to the quality of data available, in-use, and being provisioned for use

+ Responsible for quality assurance of the execution of change activities including documentation of process flows, implementation of Data Quality rules, and documentation of system lineage

+ Responsible for developing and executing on a Data Governance Officer Implementation Plan for CCB and reviewing it with the CDO

+ Partner closely with the business, operations and technology to identify and address IMRs and other data-related Issues

+ Increase business awareness, confidence and trust in data assets and enterprise data governance program by providing support and guidance to CCB leadership

+ Serves as a strategic partner with other lines of business and strives to facilitate common success in addressing data needs and issues

+ Requires a comprehensive understanding of advances in data governance and how they are applied at Citi and with CCB

+ Requires thorough understanding of CCBs strategic direction and how the Data Governance function can support the businesss growth in a safe and sound manner

+ Ability to influence and negotiate to facilitate change and ensure solutions meet business requirements as well as influence others without direct authority

+ Accountable for the execution of the data management controls and supporting artifacts for CCBs Data Governance Framework to ensure internal controls are designed effectively and testable to mitigate risk in data driven processes

+ Partner with In-Business Risk and Controls team to ensure that key controls are adequately articulated and monitored in MCA

+ Define the key business processes for the business and identify the Critical Data Elements that require monitoring for data quality issues

+ Develop and implement plans for Critical Data Elements to comply with data quality requirements defined by CCBs business process owners, including the assessment and implementation of front-end data entry controls

+ Collaborate with CCB Business Process Owners and Data Stewards to ensure that (1) data quality measurement and ongoing monitoring are implemented by CCB for Critical Data Elements and information assets and (2) the Issue Management process is utilized for remediation of data quality issues

+ Participate in the nomination and registration of approved and strategic data repositories as golden sources of CCB data as part of Citis enterprise information architecture

+ Partner with the CCB Business Process Owners and Technology Managers to include enterprise data standards within business development requirements for all new applications, as well as adoption within existing applications

+ Accountable for effective internal data management controls by monitoring business data quality reports with associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the business.


**Qualifications:**


+ At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in a project or program management role in the successful implementation of projects (preferably large scale implementations), operational process change and improvement, related to data governance and oversight

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills required in order to guide, negotiate and influence, often at a senior level and to articulate complex recommendations

+ Closely follows trends in data management and data governance and able to adapt them for application within the business

+ Industry experience in data governance, data management and regulatory initiatives

+ Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

+ Requires strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

+ Strong teamwork skills with ability to work and partner globally across different geographic locations

+ Strong experience in financial services

+ Ability to implement and manage a successful risk and control environment

+ Experienced in consulting with project stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME), including the skills to facilitate compromises, resolve conflicting requirements, and manage competing priorities

+ Experienced in working across technology and business projects and managing inter-dependencies between them

+ Ability to facilitate discussions, and be assertive while promoting a collaborative and partnering environment

+ Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge

+ Data-oriented with excellent attention to detail and strong data analysis skills

+ Excellent problem-solving skills

+ Ability to give focused attention to details and deliver high quality work while managing competing priorities

+ Knowledge of Citi and/or commercial banking processes preferred


**Education:**


+ Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar discipline
