What You'll Do

In Cisco Managed Services (CMS), we enable the digital transformation of our customers, with our partners, by accelerating the adoption and maximizing the promise of Cisco technology through a premium managed experience.

CMS has responsibility for taking the management insights and standard methodologies gained with leading edge Cisco innovation with strategic customers and scaling through partners to accelerate Ciscos promise to all customers. The CMS value proposition is centered on enabling customers to realize the promise Cisco made in product and solutions sold and achieving operations at speed to accelerate business.

To facilitate this potential, we are looking for a Product Director with extensive general management experience to be accountable to financial results of respective offers and of the overall portfolio as a team along with realization of the our value proposition with customers. Amongst the qualifications for this role, emphasis is placed on leadership, building internal and external partnerships for shared success and accountability, driving strategy thru execution, and possessing strong product instincts in IT based Managed Services. Successful professionals in this position have a strong command of the market representing Ciscos product portfolio, see opportunity aligned with strategy and take initiative to pursue with a growth mindset, thrive in dynamic environments, and have a consistent track record of leading cross-functionally without autonomy.

While technical background can be helpful, this role is not a technical role. You'll collaborate with technical architects and technical marketing engineers focused on the architectural and details that bring our offers to life.

This role will lead continuous optimization of existing managed services offers and develop new offer concepts to align with customer demand on business and operational outcomes, differentiate amongst competitors, and generate profitable recurring revenue for Cisco. This product manager role is a significant contributor and leader for next generation managed services with Cisco Customer Experience.

In this role, you will collaborate with Cisco Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales & Business Development, Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional teams where the result is acceleration of Ciscos promise, profitable revenue from Partners, and identification and realization of new Managed Services revenue streams for Cisco.

Who You'll Work With

Our Customer Experience Product Management organization defines and develops Ciscos professional services that we sell and deliver to our customers and partners. Our customers rely on us to help them understand how to anticipate and respond to new threats, reduce complexity and fragmentation, and adapt with agility to changing business models.

Who You Are

  • Customer & Partner experience grounded - ability to incorporate customer & partner input into feature and product roadmap, ability to create and communicate end-to-end customer journeys, and understand usage and how to evolve offering
  • Cross-functional approach ability to work with partner channel, engineering, legal, operations, marketing, finance, and sales for a seamless end-to-end service for internal and external clients.
  • Market/external orientation - can identify offering implications of market trends, can effectively prioritize competitive threats and mitigate, ability to build and excite an ecosystem of partners (internal/external Cisco)
  • Architecture/technology strategy - ability to assemble and internalize the relevant technology disruptions and translate into feature and product roadmap, can identify current and future critical control points to own, ability to disaggregate product strategy into service delivery implications
  • Business insight - ability to tie services strategy to overall business strategy and sales strategy, linking service performance and impact to financials, can specify outcome in tangible metrics and measures (key performance indicators)
  • Intellectually curious with insightful product instincts, creativity, and ability to channel multiple points of view.

Our minimum requirements are the following:

  • You've achieved a Bachelor degree; Masters preferred.
  • Have 12+ years experience as a services portfolio manager, services product manager, or product manager
  • A solid understanding of the Cisco partner market, customer needs, Cisco and competitor technologies, and industry trends in the managed space
  • You have a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of function for improved team and service performance
  • You can identify, prioritize and deliver measurable results using frameworks and sound business practices, understanding cross-functional dependencies
  • Strong business and technical writing skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities
  • You love teamwork, collaboration and have well-developed project management skills
  • You possess advanced Leadership Skills including leading by influence
