Chrome Coreboot Engineer
Job Description- The CCG (Client Computing Group) Chrome Client Platform Engineering team is looking for an energetic and experienced Coreboot Engineer for enabling OEM/ODM customers with ChromeOS for Intel silicon products such as next generation chipsets and processors.
- ChromeOS is highly inspired by open source technologies. This role will not only work on Coreboot/BIOS but also various open source projects, e.g., Linux kernel.
- You will collaborate with Google engineers, Intel silicon design teams, and OEM/ODM customers directly in supporting all Coreboot/BIOS related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.
- The CCG Chrome Client Platform Engineering team executes with high velocity, deep technical expertise, and an unyielding focus on delivering breakthrough Chrome products that showcase the benefits of IA.
- We operate in a startup environment where we innovate and challenge the boundaries to enable every segment to contribute to CCG's revenue at optimal Speed, Agility, and QualityIn this role, you will be the main point of technical contact for Coreboot/BIOS and work with PM, SIE, HW and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver IA based ChromeOS products.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in UEFI BIOS on either Intel Architecture (IA) or other processor/microprocessor architectures.
- Strong experience with languages such as C/C++, Python, Shell scripting
- Experience with Linux Kernel debugging
- Ability to work well both independently and in a diverse team environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in UEFI BIOS on either Intel Architecture (IA) or other processor/microprocessor architectures.
- Expertise in silicon and system debug
- Familiar with Jtag debuggers like Lauterbach, Intel ITP, and etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
