Global Industry and Regional Credit (GI&RC) is an integral part of the ICG Risk organization. GI&RC proactively manages credit exposure of Citis wholesale clients throughout the globe. Responsibilities include credit analysis, credit approval, and active monitoring of the portfolio to identify credit migration.


GI&RC works in parallel with the Institutional Client Group (ICG) bankers and product specialists. Working in conjunction with the bankers, we are able to make informed decisions through an understanding of the credit, structure and profitability features of each relationship.


The Chief Admin Office - Industry Specialist Credit Analyst (VP) is a senior-level position responsible for coordinating and conducting industry level credit and data analysis, credit review and global portfolio monitoring to identify credit migration. The candidate will be responsible for presenting global industry level information and analysis and provide credit recommendations as an integral function within GI&RC. The candidate will working directly with Industry Specialists with the overall objective to support managing the ICGs industry portfolio exposure globally.


The Industry Specialists comprise a group of Senior Portfolio Risk Managers responsible for providing industry expertise, transaction leadership and portfolio guidance across Global Industries, including Autos & Industrials, Aviation, Commodities, Consumer, Retail & Healthcare (CRH), Energy, Insurance, Power, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Shipping and Technology, Media & Telecommunications. The team is also responsible for all direct, issuer, counterparty, and contingent exposure (including collateral) to product-managed and local market entities not specifically covered by the Regional Credit, Financial Institutions and Real Estate teams.


Responsibilities:


+ Work with the Industry Specialists in coordinating industry updates to deliver around the organization on a periodic basis

+ Assist Industry Specialists in evaluating selected transactions, including new target market additions, acquisition financings, leveraged financing, recapitalizations and securitizations

+ Prepare ad-hoc senior management and regulatory presentations, including quarterly industry reviews

+ Develop industry expertise on a subset of Global Industries

+ Engage with Fundamental Credit Review and Internal Audit on matters that pertain to Industry Specialists

+ Develop, improve, and maintain Industry or Product-Specific Target Market, Risk Acceptance Criteria, Risk Governance Frameworks, Policies and Procedures

+ Assist with Industry Limits management and monitoring

+ Implement industry-specific training for Regional Credit and other partners as needed

+ Aid in industry-specific risk rating process and model sponsor requirements

+ Issue updated Leveraged Finance projections guidance as needed

+ Engage in Climate and Sustainability related initiatives to improve Climate Risk identification, analysis, quantification, and mitigation

+ Develop and maintain portfolio-wide credit data visualization approaches

+ Work with BCMA on credit approval and execution of transactions identifying key risks and structuring transactions to mitigate credit concerns


Qualifications:


+ 6-10 years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry

+ Some specialized corporate industry knowledge or in-depth experience preferred

+ MS Office software proficiency required, notably Excel and Powerpoint

+ Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

+ Demonstrated ability to view data holistically and remain detail oriented to synthesize, prioritize and deliver results with urgency

+ Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation, facilitation, negotiation and strategic skills

+ Proven ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audiences

+ Demonstrated work ethic and influencing skills


Education:


+ Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

+ Master's degree preferred
