Channel Partner Manager Nordic Countries

We currently offer the following position in Stockholm or Copenhagen:

                                  Channel Partner Manager North EU (m/f/d)

The Channel Partners Manager ensures that sales and profitability targets are met by managing Distribution Partners effectively, providing active support to enabling them to promote successfully our products and overseeing the adoption of our policies and processes in the assigned territory.

He/She acts as the key ambassador of Leica Microsystems and works in team with Product Sales Manager to expand the visibility of Leica Microsystems products and brand in the market to sustain the continuous growth of our business.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Management

    Sets up new Channel Partners and manages the selection and the onboarding process.

    Assign targets and action plans to develop business opportunities and achieve targets by segment / country. Define market visibility and win rate targets.

    Constantly monitor Channel Partner€™s performance against targets €“ market shares, sales and profitability -, performs competitive analysis regularly, provides recommendations to increase channel partner business and drives adoptions of corrective actions in case of deviations from targets.

    Manage Channel Partner€™s off-boarding when necessary.

    Independently assess the viability of potential partners to create new business and drive revenue growth.

    • Compliance Management

      Ensure Channel Partners are supporting our Standard of Conduct, our policies and that they are running the business in a compliant way, adopting the highest integrity standards.

      Oversees product registration in the region, complying with the local regulatory requirements in each location.

      • Business development

        Develop and manage channel sales strategy, identify and deliver new opportunities by maintaining up-to-date information on markets and trends: evaluate market potential opportunities or threats and analyse competitors€™ activities by segment/country within the region.

        Work closely with internal cross-functional teams i.e. Marketing, Finance, Product Management, Operations, Customer Care and QA/RA teams. Support all other sales operational management coordination as needed.

        Act as a Key Account on major projects in close coordination with the channel partner and the tender team. Penetrate our vertical markets at all levels and develop strong relationships with key customers in a technical sales arena. Travel 60% per year to visit key customers plus attendance at major conferences, trade shows, events to develop new opportunities or give presentations about our company and our technologies.

        Network with the Danaher Companies within the region to create attractive synergies for end-user customers.

        • Funnel/Forecast reviews:

          Oversee the addition of new accounts and opportunities. Organize and run Business Reviews with Channel Partners on a regular basis to ensure good funnel health for future Sales. Manages proactively the funnel to ensure the integrity of information for our cross-functional business development needs.

          Consolidate forecasts from Channel Partners and commits to forecasts value implementing urgently recovery plans in case of deviations.

          • Training

            Ensure that Channel Partner Sales Representatives are continuously up-to-date, ensures that the sales force is properly trained technically and commercially and facilitate their participation to scheduled trainings.  Constantly train Distributors on sales methodology and how to drive funnel review.

            • Cash Collection/Credit Control

              Facilitate the Accounts Receivables/Cash Collection with direct intervention in cases of delayed payment.

              Our Expectations:

              • Proven track record of growing business faster than market for at least 3 years;
              • Experience in selling through distribution channels to Material and Life Science Research Institutions and Industrial R&D-QC laboratories
              • Excellent in modern sales methodologies
              • High level of energy to drive change
              • Experience in working in an international environment
              • Knowledge of microscopy / laboratory instrumentation will be considered a plus
              • University degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is ideal.
              • Fluent in English. Another language would be a plus
