CGWI Alternatives - IT Strategy Lead

CGWI Alternatives is looking to hire a Technology Business Manager to lead its strategic technology vision in support of its portfolio management capabilities. This role will report to the GWMI Alternatives Chief of Staff and will work to ensure that CIMs technology capabilities support its goals for business growth, operational efficiency, and risk management. In addition, the Technology Business Manager will matrix report to the CGW Head of Investments Platform Development & Innovation to ensure alignment across CGWIs technology platforms and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

+ Design and leading execution of the strategic vision for CGWI Alts technology needs

+ Ownership of all CGWI Alts technology projects, including enhancements to reporting, trading capabilities, and publication of portfolio data

+ Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures

+ Lead efforts for reporting on CIMs accounts, assets, and sales flows, including enhancements to reporting to provide more detail and insight into client types, asset flows, and product growth. In addition, support of upgrading all reports to automated processes

+ Design and implementation of a comprehensive database of CIM client data and portfolio data for use in internal and external marketing materials and to support internal portfolio review and risk governance processes

+ Management of CGWI Alternatives technology budget for current year projects and future enhancements, including prioritization and approval

+ Communication of CIM technology initiatives to stakeholders in Citi Technology, CIM and CGWI

+ Identification of opportunities for CIM to benefit from broader CGWI-wide opportunities. Identify points of integration, synergies, and areas beneficial to CIM from CGWI initiatives as well as efficiencies to be earned from streamlining and elimination of duplicative processes


+ Bachelors Degree preferably in technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering); MBA desirable

+ 7+ years experience in technology in asset management or financial services industry

+ Professional experience in technology consulting, specifically technology development (with a specialty in financial data), operations, and platform integration

+ Ability to navigate in a complex and highly regulated environment

+ Excellent analytic and critical thinking skills

+ Ability to evaluate multiple details and devise a series of recommendations for consideration

+ Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex topics simply to audiences of varying backgrounds and knowledge

+ Self-motivated and creative with ability to present alternatives and constructive new ideas

+ Strong program management skills with experience managing and delivering complex and critical programs
