How will you make an impact?

As a Cash Application Specialist you will work in a fast paced environment to analyze and troubleshoot customer payments that do not align with open invoices. Conducting regular daily follow-ups with customers for remittance advice will be your primary responsibility. In addition, you may review daily credit card settlements and apply invoicing detail, along with processing any credit card chargeback deductions, reversals, and reconcile total balances to settlements. You may be responsible for preparing the ACH interface transmissions and balancing, Remote Deposit processing, as well as all other tasks done within the department as you will support other team members when they are out of the office. Your ability to work and control multiple procedures is essential as well as your focus and a desire to work hard. You will utilize your PC abilities and experience as most of the tasks will involve various levels of PC processing.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for all facets of customer payments and their application to invoice level detail.
  • Phone calls/emails with customers to secure remittance advice is essential.
  • Reconciles credit card payments, POS and non-POS, to open invoices
  • Chargeback and reversal functions include analysis and dispute of chargebacks to secure re-payment
  • Investigate customer requests for supporting documentation
  • Reconcile any possible misapplication of customer payments and ensure accurate and timely closure of checks to invoices
  • Manage the remote deposit system and checks received in-house.
  • Understand ACH interface preparation and performance plus various journal entry reasons and processing steps
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

How will you get here?


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred


  • At least one year of relevant experience in an office environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with computer programs, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Analytical skills and ability to problem solve required.
  • High degree of Integrity
