Description The Care Management Support Assistant 1 contributes to administration of care management. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Care Management Support Assistant 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. Will travel 75% of the time. Responsibilities This role is a full time opportunity covering vacations, FMLA, unexpected sick days for 4 to 8 clinics to include Independence, Olathe, Grandview and Overland Park. Your main location will be based in Independence. You will operate a switchboard or multi-line phone. Take and distribute accurate messages. Greets visitors and determines the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintains visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee. Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as the organization's location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and/or email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. Required Qualifications + High School Diploma + Microsoft Office technical experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel + Administrative support experience in a healthcare industry + Familiarity with care and well-being resources + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences + Must be willing and able to travel to various locations 75% of the time + Must be a team player with excellent communication skills + Willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need + This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
