Capabilities Business Analyst

The Capabilities Business Analyst position within the Enablement Group focuses on working with internal clients and subject matter experts to define requirements, facilitate solutions, integrate Zoot products, apply industry knowledge, and produce documentation for each of Zoots capabilities and clients business needs.  This position will work to capture the needed capabilities and associated functionalities that will fulfill business needs as well as identify how existing capabilities may be leveraged to fulfill existing and new business needs. 




The Capabilities Business Analyst serves as a user advocate to ensure Zoots capabilities meet user needs, asking user-centered questions, suggesting improvements for usability and user experience, and always keeping user needs and perspectives at the forefront of discussions.  Throughout the requirement process, the position will work collaboratively with all members of the Enablement Group to envision, design, and test, document and train on capabilities and enhancements.




The Enablement Group is responsible for the development and support of the capabilities methodology. This methodology will be used to develop the design patterns for the Delivery organization in support of Decisioning, Loan Origination and Fraud platforms. Enablement creates microservices to implement capabilities to meet our clients business needs using Zoots best practices and standards. Enablements objective is to increase efficiency in implementing and supporting platforms while ensuring ongoing client satisfaction with Zoot solutions.




The Capabilities Team within the Enablement Group collaborates with individuals across the company to identify business needs which will enhance our offerings and increase our efficiencies in implementing and supporting solutions. Our Team works to support the goal of making Zoots capabilities the best in the industry.


 


This position will be located in either our Bozeman or Billings, Montana, office.  No remote work.


 


Essential Job Functions




  • Create requirements documentation for capabilities.

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate requirements discussions to achieve thorough requirements that meet business needs and align with Zoot capabilities and microservice initiative.

  • Write requirements with a level of detail that provides enough information to effectively deliver on each capability.

  • Work with the Microservice Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure requirements are accounted for within the test plan.

  • Evaluate documentation and processes to improve content, precision, usage, grammar, formatting and comprehension.

  • Participate in the maintenance of the Capability Roadmap and Library.

  • Ensure a common understanding of Business Needs and Capabilities.

  • Assist with development of value proposition and prioritization of the capability roadmap. 

  • Participate in usability efforts.

  • Ensure consistent language use and messaging in all documentation.

  • Identify and encourage opportunities for value added enhancements and identify how to address business needs that are not being properly satisfied.

  • Gather capability feedback and information from user groups, competitors, delivery team, marketing and sales.

  • Compliance with and knowledge of Zoots Policies and Procedures, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Agreement.

  • Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering high-quality products and services to internal and external clients.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements



  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Finance, or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements




  • All positions at Zoot require the ability to move about inside an office environment which includes the operation of computers and other office productivity machinery and frequently communicates with other employees, clients, vendors, and visitors.

  • This position specifically requires long periods of sitting at a computer workstation.




Working Conditions




  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

  • This position will require travel 10% of the time.
