This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Campus Operations and will provide basic nursing care and health services including testing, nursing assessment and first aid to students and staff; coordinate resources and monitor the College's pandemic response; disseminate health services information and provide specialized assistance and counseling regarding individual health needs; maintain a variety of health records; determine health education/promotion needs and develop action plans; and perform related duties as assigned.


 


The incumbent is responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of efficient and professional operations of employee and student health in accordance with the Colleges policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Oversee and manage the administrative and operational activities of NPC Campus Health Office

  • Serve as campus health liaison with the CHI St. Vincent on-site clinic team

  • Coordinate responsibility of the NPC Pandemic Response Team in collaboration with the Health & Safety Manager

  • Review/update NPC Pandemic Plan and assist with the Emergency Management Plan

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines as they relate to campus health

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA and worker's compensation guidelines

  • Maintain the campus health website information

  • Communicate with students, staff and the public to obtain and provide health-related information, make referrals and explain a variety of policies, procedures, rules and regulations concerning healthcare services

  • Responsible for securing and developing all records, equipment, and programs related to the campus health office

  • Collaborate with internal and external contacts for program development, such as administration, human resources, student affairs, and regulatory agencies

  • Assist in managing the required programs and services to meet regulatory requirement; such as OSHA, CDC, Arkansas Department of Health, etc.

  • Maintain all campus health records and ensure HIPAA and FERPA compliance

  • Assist departments with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return to work options for employees and students

  • Identify primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize health of the population

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be developed and assigned to this position as needed



 


Qualifications



  • Degree in nursing, other healthcare credentials may be considered for exceptionally well-qualified individuals

  • Basic understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to infection control and/or occupational and environmental health and safety

  • Ability to develop, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Exceptional computer skills are essential

  • Must be detail oriented, have ability to multitask and possess great interpersonal skills
