The Call Center Representative is as important as any other function in the healthcare delivery system. You, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, provide exceptional customer service by serving as the frontline ambassador of service between the patient and the Medical Center.

The Call Center Assistant ensures a positive patient experience from the time a patient accesses the system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Greeting patients immediately, in a friendly, helpful and welcoming manner
+ Registering new patients, completely and accurately
+ Verifying demographic
+ Answering phones in a friendly, helpful and welcoming manner, within SSM Health Standards
+ Demonstrating a resourceful nature and actions when patients and/or internal customers have questions
+ Closing each encounter in a friendly, helpful manner

This is a PRN (Fill In) position where you are able to make a schedule that works best for you! 16 hours per pay period required when shifts are available. As a candidate, you must be available to cover all 3 shifts, including overnight. This position is included in the holiday rotation. Every other holiday is required.

Basic computer skills are necessary. Experience in a Contact Center or Health Care Center are preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Performs duties under supervision and within well established guidelines.
+ Greets patients or visitors, answers/screens/routes telephone calls, files, distributes mail and performs other general clerical duties.
+ May provide assistance with programs/software for Providers. May assemble and maintain patient charts.
+ Responsible for making copies, answering phones, making appointments, and maintaining records.
+ May be responsible for maintaining office inventory including ordering supplies. Ensures that office equipment is in good working order and requests repairs or maintenance as needed.
+ Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol.

+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION
+ High school diploma or equivalent



EXPERIENCE
+ One year of experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

+ Rare climbing.
