Position Objective Procurement

  • This position will increase organizational capacity due a general increase in PASS activity and business growth plan. As a Supply Chain Buyer you will be responsible for leading on time delivery of project management orders by handling the demand planning, material planning and procurement of a nominated product range.

    Main Duties:

    • Create and execute Purchase Orders and Purchase REQ€™s as required, communicate up to date delivery information to the PASS project management and be a main contact for them for Lead time and availability queries
    • Using the MRP system to plan the purchase of the materials and components necessary to build the demand orders.
    • Handle the planning data held in the SAP system ensuring parameters accurately reflect current conditions.
    • Monitor & progress suppliers ensuring materials and parts are received on time in line with build schedules
    • Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships. Obtain supply chain feedback and share data with Quality Control and other management groups.
    • Negotiate supplier pricing based upon purchasing variables such as frequency, quantities, capacity, etc.
    • Reconcile receiving and invoice issues.
    • Ensure\\ suppliers are paid based upon agreed schedules and payment terms and conditions within PO€™s.
    • Production Planning in SAP (Create/Maintain BOM, Routing, Purchase Requisitions, cycle counts, planned & production orders).
    • Build new Material Master numbers and update project systems component lists in SAP
    • Other Purchasing functions as required

      Qualifications / Experience:

      • Shown success and experience in a Supply Chain / Purchasing role.
      • Material planning systems to include MRP, Demand Forecasting, production
      • Scheduling and Inventory Management.
      • Good knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP experience (MM is required) ideally including SAP PS.
      • Experience procuring custom engineered products
      • Purchasing and Commercial Awareness.
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel desirable, PowerPoint)

        Fluent in English and German
