As a group, we partner with the Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources teams to drive the delivery of innovative technology solutions using common data, analytics, and platforms. Our technology operates in real-time environments, capturing and managing market, transaction, and accounting data, as well as the data from millions of customers daily. Our solutions cover all products and geographies in which Citi does business. **Job Overview - Technology Risk Officer** **- C13**


We are seeking a Technology Risk Officer that will support the Finance & Risk Data Technology organization within the GFT space. The Technology Risk Officer will be responsible for providing ongoing risk oversight and expertise, while facilitating and executing formal risk governance routines that enable the identification, mitigation, and escalation of ongoing operational risks.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Assist in the management and coordination of the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) for the division.

+ Oversee and coordinate the identification, documentation and remediation of issues and corrective action plans (CAPs).

+ Identifying thematic or specific control gaps, and partnering to develop action plans to drive risk mitigation and remediation

+ Managing risk appetite metrics to ensure successful delivery of mitigating actions

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior.

+ Managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

+ Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices.

+ Develops procedural implementation and change management process with Operations and Reporting team to ensure proper governance and controls exist.

+ Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations in addition to impacts on customer experience.

+ Conducts internal testing of dispute processes to ensure control.

+ Monitors exceptions to dispute policy and identifies drivers of exceptions.

+ Leverages data to examine impacts to Customer Experience and Regulatory breaks.

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.


**Qualifications:**


+ 5+ years' experience developing, implementing, or testing controls within 1st, 2nd, or 3rd line risk management

+ 5+ years experience within a technology focused organization

+ 5+ years' experience in financial services

+ Experience in the end-to-end Managers Control Assessment (MCA) processes

+ Knowledge of the iCAPS system for the entry and oversight of issues and corrective action plans

+ Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization

+ Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions

+ Proven track record and accountability in making quick decision that have an immediate impact on business financials

+ MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus. 5+ years experience in financial services

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

+ Effective organizational influencing skills required

+ Excellent problem-solving skills


**Education:**


+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
