The Worldwide Specialized Sales Organization is a diverse team that specializes in helping our customers (from Startups to Enterprises) leverage the entire portfolio of AWS services. We are seeking a Sales Strategy and Planning Lead to work with the Worldwide, Americas, APAC,and EMEA Specialized Sales teams on cross-org Strategy, Business Management and planning priorities.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Identify and eliminating bottlenecks, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints.
· Manage through ambiguity and complexity, and constantly seek ways to invent and simplify business processes.
· Work closely with the Specialized Sales leadership team along with our cross-functional stakeholders to identify and drive improvement opportunities for critical sales processes and mechanisms.
· Improve the effectiveness of our sales compensation structures and goals,
· Optimize the territory and coverage structures and processes,
· Develop rigorous approaches to growth planning and metrics.
· Drive the operational cadence of the organization and sales operations team, including QBRs, MBRs, and planning.

This position is available in all Amazon corporate US office locations.


· Bachelor€™s Degree
· Experience with Salesforce and Excel
· 6+ years€™ experience in Sales planning and Operations
· 4+ years of managing variable quota setting, compensation planning, and territory planning


· MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
· Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, a proven track record of taking ownership, and delivering results
· Demonstrated ability to design, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies.
· Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
· Excellent cross group collaboration skills.
· Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
· Experience hiring and managing high-performing teams
· Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc.
· Expert level in Excel
· Deep experience in prioritization of deliverables and tasks
· Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
· Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills
· Proficiency with annual forecasting and planning and related 3rd party tools.
· Deep expertise and familiarity with cloud computing products, services and sales cycles.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
