Purpose and Objective: SAP Industries, Inc. seeks a Business Manager - Consultant at our office location in Houston, TX (and various client sites nationwide) to serve as a manager for application and process specific expert consulting for a or several specific application area, including creation of business blueprint; implementation based on a blueprint; creation of test cases; test scheduling and execution; key user training; go live support; and post go live support.

 

Expectations and Tasks: Provide support for escalated projects. Perform feasibility studies and solution reviews. Support pre-sales activities, such as license and consulting. Identify and apply Integrated Service Delivery options. Take responsibility from time to time as a sub project team lead and/or support respective line managers in people development tasks. Responsible for detailed planning of process implementation. Define detailed blueprint for development requirements. Perform industry or corporate process  implementation across all related  applications (SAP/non-SAP, OnPremise and cloud-based). Develop and assure quality of process models. Demonstrate expert knowledge of modeling standards and tools. 100% travel required to various client sites nationwide.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field and 7 years of experience required. Will accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

 

Work Experience: Experience must involve at least 5 years in the following: consultation for customers in the Oil and Gas Industry, including both Upstream and Downstream; project support for the delivery of oil and gas process solutions; accounting solutions such as SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) and Joint Venture Accounting and the integration of PRA to the IS-Oil solution and IS Chemicals; project experience with the IS-Oil solution including Traders and Schedulers Workbench (integrated trading/scheduling, transportation scheduling/planning, allocations), Risk Management, Deal Capture; troubleshooting and resolution of issues with projects or solutions; analysis of customers' business process requirements and mapping of such requirements to best practice to ensure standard functionality; use of project methodologies such as Activate, Agile, and Solution Manager; liaising with business users and technical team members; leadership of customer workshops; and overseeing Project Life Cycle. 100% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
