The Architecture and Portfolio Management Office, reporting the VP, IT, provides business technology leadership, business architecture and strategic planning, program and project management excellence; focused on Five9s corporate business systems and infrastructure.  We are currently looking for a self-starter to join our team to build the business engagement leadership capability as a business and technology partner/trusted advisor for the Sales organization.


The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Architecture & Portfolio Management and is responsible for collaborating with key strategic business partners to maximize the business value of technology investments in the transformation of the Sales organization as they achieve Five9s goals.  The candidate will provide an experiential, seasoned strategic point of view to support the business vision, developing and maintaining a long-term evergreen technology roadmap. This role will support the global quote to cash process by partnering with the Force.com delivery team; knowledge of the platform technology is critical. It is also expected that this role will need to align strategic requirements throughout the Q2C process to other technologies and will support and manage capability requests that are technology agnostic.


You should be a team leader with the right combination of tactical and strategic execution.   You have built teams and new capabilities.  You bring deep experience leveraging technology to guide Sales Ops and Sales transformations.  You leverage superior analytical, collaboration and influencing skills to work with all levels of management and their teams to help shape Five9s next generation Sales functions.  You will stay ahead of the new Salesforce CPQ, PRM, and Communities functionality as well as provide recommendations for improvements.



  1. Build a team of business analysts and a solid business analyst practice contributing business value thru process analysis, baseline metrics and optimized business process change. 

  2. Partner with Sales and other lines of business to assess business capability readiness to deliver Five9 objectives and maintain an evergreen strategic roadmap for its achievement.   

  3. In partnership with the business and the Force.com delivery team, manage the backlog of technology enhancements, identifying core transformational opportunities that would create value across the organization and/or improve the customer/employee journey 

  4. Create detailed, quality user stories/business requirements, collaborating with the business and delivery teams to solidify sound measurable solutions 

  5. Lead business process re-engineering efforts starting with documenting as-is thru process analysis and change recommendation to the to-be state

  6. Stay ahead of technology trends and opportunities related to Sales, Professional Services and Sales Operations; mapping them to capability opportunities and guiding business partners

  7. Manage vendors for technology products used by supported business units.  Conduct quarterly vendor reviews, prepare data pertinent to license renewals well in advance of renegotiations.   

  8. Align as a trusted advisor and strategic team member in order to understand business unit challenges and assist to strategically plan future business capabilities that require technology assistance.

  9. Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and understand both business and technical language and ideas and develop and maintain the strategic stakeholder roadmaps short term up to 12 months




  • 12+ years experience managing business application initiatives, partnering with the business, delivering technology for business value. 

  • Experience managing a team, guiding and mentoring staff; demonstrating servant leadership and building strong team culture through everyday interactions.

  • Expert working knowledge of business processes for SaaS business capabilities like quote to cash, configure-price-quote, multi-currency, commissions, contracts, improving customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and growth. 

  • 5+ years business analysis: Visio, Requirement Analysis, Data Flow Diagrams, Business Process Modeling & Re-engineering, Gap Analysis, Cause & Effect Analysis, Use Case, Test Scripts

  • 5+ years experience working with Salesforce platform (Community Cloud, Sales Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, FinancialForce PSA, B2B Commerce)

  • Sales Cloud certification preferred

  • Experience working in subscription product environments for recurring revenue cloud products

  • Experience in process enablement, automation, functional design and integration of sales platforms into data sources and related platforms, including upstream marketing platforms and downstream billing platforms

  • Solid grasp of sales capabilities, processes and technology that enables smooth sales operations

  • Experience in developing, delivering and managing strategic roadmaps

  • Experience with business architecture, capabilities and strategic planning

  • Able to understand and be involved in the technical details in order to successfully gather and understand complex requirements and translate them into user stories and/or business requirements

  • Self-motivated, energetic, excellent interpersonal, organizational, conflict-resolution skills

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups

  • Experience presenting to C-level executives

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Experience delivering in and using waterfall and agile methodologies

  • High degree of flexibility, independence, initiative, and detail orientation

  • B.S. in Business or Engineering discipline preferred
