Business Director, Advertising Analytics & Media Optimization

Capital One's Consumer Bank has been growing to become one of the most prominent banks in the United States, currently with an approximately $165B deposit portfolio. We are continuously investing in the areas of analytics, digital technology and customer-back marketing, in order to deliver great experiences to our customers and superior returns for our shareholders.

This role is a critical and newly established leadership role, that will be responsible for leading our advertising analytics agenda and managing our sizeable national upper funnel advertising budget. The leader in this role will manage a team of analysts and data scientists, in order to drive decisions around media optimization, with the goal of profitably growing Consumer Bank business while also growing our Bank brand.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of ~5 associates & responsible for the teams agenda and workstreams ranging from deep quantitative analytics to brand health measurement to media buy recommendations

- Perform ROI analysis and create measurement approaches for effectiveness of media spend

- Be the customer for our media mix modelling efforts, and own upper funnel marketing P&L

- Develop upper funnel media test & learn agenda, and work with media partners to execute plan, in order to harness insights

- Partner with the broader Marketing Analytics organization in optimizing our marketing budget across the full funnel, while generating insights on lower & upper funnel interactions

- Oversee analysis of brand health, as well as the effectiveness of other brand marketing efforts including PR, Social and Sponsorship investments

- Lead ad-hoc analyses in support of business recommendations & presentations to executives

- Recruit new hires while evolving the teams agenda, and participate in analyst recruiting efforts

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Operations Research, Physics)
- At least 7 years of analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field or MBA
- 10+ years of analytics experience, including 5+ years of marketing analytics experience

- 5+ years of people management experience

- 3+ years of experience in building media mix models and making media optimization decisions
- Professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, etc)
