Role Description 

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for providing support for the North America Office of the COO through the creation and management of sales engagement programs. The role will primarily serve North America Market Unit leadership by analyzing and developing programmatic solutions that will drive increased sales execution efficiency.

This role will require strong analytical and reporting skills, as well as the ability to package results for internal leadership review and action.

The Business Development Specialist will work directly with the head of Sales Engagement Programs as part of the North America Office of the COO.


Primary Position Responsibilities 

  • Develop consolidated program performance results based on the compilation of data from multiple available sources, and package for stakeholder review on a monthly or as-needed basis
  • Analyze performance results, develop solutions for identified gaps, and package corresponding sales engagement program recommendations for MU Sales leadership action
  • Maintain a centralized record of issues for multiple programs, and prioritize action plans with each MU based on stakeholder input
  • Share findings and prioritize MU needs with others responsible for operations and programs


Specialized Knowledge & Skills 

  • Work collaboratively with business and data owners to ensure accuracy and alignment on reporting for assigned programs
  • Deliver data-driven points-of-view on trends and areas of/for improvement across multiple sales engagement programs
  • Maintain and continue to develop a deep understanding of the SAP customer data model, Intelligent Data and Enterprise Analytics Store offerings, program-specific reporting and North America Market Unit data/reporting needs
  • Build consensus, create momentum, and work well cross-functionally with other departments and varying levels of management
  • Manage stakeholders with a focus on listening to needs, and adjust approaches as necessary
  • Build credible and sustainable relationships across multiple regional and global organizations
  • Support preparation for meetings and reviews as needed, and demonstrating flexibility in approach


Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or a directly related field is required; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Experience working with SAP Sales Tools and Technologies (e.g., CRM, Callidus/Harmony, ISP, etc.), preferred
  • Experience with data modeling and business analysis; business intelligence concepts, tools and procedures
  • Excellent business and commercial acumen strong analytical agility
  • Excellent communications skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and strong ability to work collaboratively across the organization
