Business Development Representative

Critical Alert, a developer in the Patient Communication Industry, is hiring a Business Development Representative (Inside Sales) in Jacksonville, Florida.


Primary Purpose and Function

The primary purpose and function of the Business Development Representative is lead generation and relationship building with key decision makers at prospective hospitals. This individual will work with Enterprise Sales Director and the Marketing Team to coordinate pre-sales activities within a defined territory. This position will work to qualify early-stage leads and create momentum in the sales process.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Sales Director(s) and Marketing Team on strategy and management of engaged hospitals, including research of hospitals and identification of key players.

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to Critical Alert products, while understanding and identifying opportunities for customers to improve patient-to-caregiver communications within their hospitals

  • Data Management and Documentation: Update CRM as appropriate to ensure customer and prospect data is timely and accurate. This includes, but is not limited to contact data, profile data, sales-related information, sales lead status information, sales pipeline information.

  • Proactive Appointment Setting and Lead Generation: Make targeted outbound phone calls and send templated emails to position Critical Alert product solutions with new prospects. Through effective phone interactions, uncover and qualify customer needs to create new high-potential sales opportunities in the form of qualified face-to-face appointments for Enterprise Sales Directors.

  • Sales lead qualification: Make outbound phone calls and send outbound emails to prospects. Uncover and qualify customer needs, position Critical Alert solutions then deliver qualified opportunities to appropriate Enterprise Sales Director or sales channel for development and closure.

  • Support LeadGen events by filling appointments and booking attendees through phone calls and outbound emails.

  • This position may be required to attend and support tradeshows, seminars, or LeadGen events as needed.


Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS) preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in a B2B Saas Sales and lead generation a plus

  • Strong phone presence and experience conducting dozens of sales conversations per day

  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools

  • Experience working with CRM systems

  • Experience in Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong listening and presentation skills
