Seeking to hire a business development executive proficient in product filtration devices for biotechnology, medical device and / or pharmaceutical devices. This position is remote / home based in California. Outstanding opportunity to grow established and fast-growing pharma and biotech customer base in regulated manufacturing industry. Working alongside the existing sales force you will identify, develop and nurture OEM business by positioning Pall products to the customer offering filtration needs based solutions.
This position is focused on finding opportunities for Pall OEM Medical filtration devices with a primary focus on the pharmaceutical and biotech markets. The candidate will have an intimate familiarity with drug delivery filtration devices, underlying technology, product development, regulatory understanding and market application. Experience with Danaher Business System (DBS) tools desired or continuous improvement methodologies. Candidate will drive funnel growth in drug delivery devices in Biotech, handle growth opportunities using the sales funnel and deploy DBS tools to drive problem solving and expedient business development.
Candidate will spend the maximum amount of time with customers, understanding their needs, processes and opportunities. Strong customer network is desired with the expectation to expand network, contacts, and sales funnel opportunities.
The associate is expected to work in a team-oriented and cooperative manner to achieve the company€™s stated sales and marketing at a territorial level. Cross-functional and cross-business unit collaboration is expected.




 
Current experience in a business development role in OEM Biotech / Pharma filtration industry. Core responsibilities include:
To compile an annual Sales/Tactical Growth Plan for the region, implementing these activities and reporting as needed.
To identify new customers or new applications with existing customers and maintain these accurately within the Sales Funnel.
Key participation in the global strategy planning for OEM Medical devices
Create an annual forecast (sales and orders).
Ensure forecast is monitored, tracked and achieved.
Ensure all relevant opportunities are tracked within the sales funnel and changes are updated promptly.
To identify, influence and build relationships with key decision-makers.
To use these relationships in improving our position within the defined customer by both raising awareness and creating additional sales, along with generating the required corporate image across the target market.
To increase our knowledge of competitor position and activities through close contact with the relevant markets and the key opinion-leaders within.
To work closely with the other sales territories team members as the technical expert for OEM medical devices.
To communicate regularly all pertinent information to the Sales Manager and other senior management.
To respond quickly and efficiently to customers€™ inquiries.
To report promptly and accurately with any Product Occurrences that may be reported.
To attend relevant teleconferences and meetings.
To maintain and continually develop product, market and technical knowledge of existing and new OEM filtration applications.
To maintain the CRM System with all up-to-date information, including the recording of all sales visits and educational events.
To arrange and attend educational events (in-servicing, seminars, workshops) and report on the same promptly.
To ensure that product knowledge is up-to-date and report accurately and promptly on any competitor activity.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Strong applications and product knowledge.
Ability to analyze and present commercial, technical and medical information concisely.
BS degree in Technology, Engineering or Science preferred
Current driver€™s license and passport.
Willingness to travel 30 to 40 % primarily in West Coast U.S.
