Business Development Manager, Marketing

The Business Development Manager Medical Water €“ America will take total ownership of the Strategy definition and the deployment of the Tactical plan for the America region, while coordinating with local sales and marketing leadership, in line with the Global Marketing Strategic plan. Lead key relationship with KOLs, Healthcare agencies, Regional/local specialist groups to drive Standards, PALL Leadership, PALL Medical Branding for Water Healthcare Product portfolio, to influence the market with high level of integration.

Work, through direct engagement with customers, sales, marketing and all relevant functional groups within the company (such as R&D, SLS, Operations, Marketing, Regulatory), to develop regional scientific strategy with academic institutions, Medical specialists and agencies.

Operate as a consultant for the definition of the Go-To Market Model strategy in the region as per the markets specificities : product life cycle management (& roadmap), pricing, promotion, positioning (& value proposition)

Maintain strong KOLs network, Healthcare agencies and authorities contacts, helping developing Standards et Guidelines for America region.

  • Create promotional materials, run workshops, catalyse congresses and progressive marketing activities for America (30%)
  • Identify and develop America KOLs authorities and guideline makers, participate in Workshops, Kaizens, global congresses and utilize knowledge for BD (25%)
  • Collaborating closely, training, guiding & serving responsible Water Specialists and sales teams in America (20%)
  • Market & competitive analyses for POU, OEM and Prefilter applications (Clinical Leader and Partner to Protect) for Medical Water for America (15%)
  • Lead Medical Water into new markets approaching new Medical Water OEM customers in America (water consultants, endoscopy market, medical device manufacturers ie dental, HNO) (5%)
  • Participate in internal Medical X Functional Water and Business Meetings reporting regularly on business development and market needs (5%)


    Bachelor€™s or equivalent. Advanced degree in business/ life sciences or engineering with 5 or more years or related work experience in medical device or membrane technologies is preferred. Strong Sales / business development experiences in US / America. Personal credibility with key client contacts in large donor institutions, including government and multilateral organisations. Ability to develop and nurture effective business relationships. Strong project leadership skills. Ability to influence and gain consensus from teams from various functional subject areas including: sales, marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, legal, DBS and planning. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and ability to work with people. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in generating concise, clear market opportunity assessments, revenue and unit forecasting models, price, profitability analyses and market segmentation matrices. Excellent knowledge of global healthcare market and medical device regulatory requirements. Experienced in developing and conducting training presentations to customers, sales representatives and company executives. Ability to tackle multiple projects and priorities as well as travel extensively (includes international travel). To work safely and to align with the company€™s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Capable of mentoring and training field sales personnel as well as customer and business support staff. Capable of understanding and implementing strategies at the local level. Curious and innovative problem solver with commitment to continuous improvement. Customer and team oriented. Results driven, Confident problem-solver, Understands and applies DBS principles, and adaptable to and respectful of different cultures.
