The Architecture Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Provides architectural vision for all IT systems, including those that support Internet applications, ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints.

+ Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem solving solutions on an enterprise level.

+ Interfaces across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects.

+ Maintains continuous awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and acts as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.

+ Depending on project scope, may be accountable for end-to-end results including such items as: budgeting, policy formulation as well as providing future state technology strategies for an effort.

+ Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements.

+ Exhibits in-depth knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and has a good understanding of the commercial environment.

+ Provides thought leadership in subjects that are key to the business.

+ Requires sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.

+ Impacts the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.

+ Uses developed communication skills to negotiate and often at higher levels.

+ Performs other job duties and functions as assigned

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

+ 10+ years relevant experience

The Engineering and Architecture Practice for Global Functions Technology (GFT) is building out a Business Architecture practice that will guide transformational IT improvements supporting all of Citi's global Finance and Risk functions. As part of the team, the Business Architect will leverage broad functional domain knowledge, deep experience influencing IT architecture change, and outstanding communication skills, as they lead collaborations with Finance and Risk Functions, Technology, Operations, and Business teams to articulate the comprehensive future vision of Citi's end-to-end Finance and Risk functional architecture. Their clear illustration of how critical Finance and Risk capabilities must evolve to meet Citi's strategic transformation objectives will guide and catalyze the evolution of the supporting information technologies.


**Responsibilities**


+ Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Shared Services to describe current and establish future state business architectures, anchored to business processes and functions

+ Partner with data architects to illustrate critical data dependencies and influence data architecture to support the business architecture

+ Work closely with all technical partners supporting Finance and Risk to align strategic technical investments to the target state business architecture or justify any deviations

+ Contribute thought leadership to help establish the Business Architecture practice for GFT

+ Ensure that the activities in GFT are aligned to the enterprise-wide objectives defined by the CIO Council, the CDO Council, Finance, and Risk

+ Develop and evangelize business architecture principles aimed at optimizing straight-through processing and guaranteeing the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency of financial reporting

+ Embrace Citi architecture principles and standards and counsel engineering teams on how to apply them in GFT deliverables

+ Champion continuous improvement the business architecture discipline at Citi - driving adoption of industry best practices, improved tooling, and training


**Qualifications**


+ 10+ years of experience in an engineering and/or architecture capacity providing information systems in support of business functions

+ Broad and deep knowledge of standard business processes supporting the functions of Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting ideally in the Financial Services industry

+ Outcome oriented, with a successful track record of delivering business process improvement outcomes demanding cross-functional collaboration and change to enterprise information architectures

+ Experience working in matrix environments and partnering with virtual teams

+ Self-motivated, independent, multi-tasker, willing and able to take ownership of various parts of an initiative

+ Ability to effectively deliver under time pressure, clarifying ambiguity as needed to deliver against expectations

+ Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) which enable engagement and influence of stakeholders at all levels within the organization, from technical developers to the savviest business/executive leaders

+ Methodical, attention to detail

+ Familiarity with technologies, concepts, and best practices employed in modern enterprise information architectures
