Business Analyst - Campaign Design and Performance

The intent of the Campaign Design and Performance Analyst role is to embed robust test and learn practices in the design evaluation and implementation of campaigns.

To improve the effectiveness of campaigns you will be instrumental in embedding a culture of test and learn, supported by the rigorous application of Experimental Design (DOE) and disciplined evaluation of campaigns.

Summary of expectations:

+ Co-create test hypothesis with product owners, marketing and analytics teams.

+ Design of campaigns cell design to ensure that statistically valid conclusions can be obtained

+ Robust post campaign evaluation to identify what worked, what didnt and opportunities to optimize campaigns

+ Manage a pipeline of testing and insights feedback loop

+ Enable execution of data enabled initiatives and campaigns

+ Provide support and governance to other teams involved in Test and personalisation initiatives. Encourage a culture that embraces testing and follows best practice

+ Maintain strong and effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and product partners.

+ Advance the design of experiments capability through new ways of working and innovation while leading best practices

+ Collaborate with internal data science teams to develop predictive models for personalisation and experimentation

+ Showcase and build awareness of data driven campaigns by capturing and sharing what we learn from our testing and design initiatives

+ Maintain a campaign review forum and Campaign review recommendations


Understand business needs and convert business problems into analytical problems and devise elegant solutions for effective implementation Design, build and modify campaigns based on historical trends and implement relevant forecasted performance metrics across acquisition and portfolio Recalibrate/ redevelop the campaign performance measures as and when needed Measure the financial performance of acquisition campaigns, portfolio campaigns, price testing and forecasting performance on current and future campaigns Design and develop campaign reporting for key business stakeholders _(Quarterly/Annual updates - Presentations)_ Ongoing communication with the stakeholders based on campaign reviews gating process at the time of development Responsible to create state of the art documentation process right from scoping out the business problem to analytical solution to implementation process. Identify new opportunities to analyses/ model/ segment customer behavior that add value to bottom-line revenue/ enhance customer experience Communicate analytical solution and financial benefits in a business language to the key stakeholders


+ A degree in Business/ Finance/ Commerce/ Econometrics/ Mathematics/ Statistics or any other quantitative discipline

+ At least 5+ years analytics experience in financial services, banking or insurance

+ Prior work experience in handling high volume databases preferably in a data warehouse environment

+ Prior work experience on SAS at advance levels is a must

+ High levels of competency in Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint _(VBA is an advantage)_

+ Experience/ have greater depth of understanding on site catalyst, DMP etc. and ability to leverage analytics in social and digital platforms

+ Experience in leveraging big data platforms, R, Excel VBA will be an added advantage

+ Experience and knowledge on credit cards and consumer lending is a plus

+ Ability to multi-task across projects and should be able to work independently

+ Able to work with other team members in a team environment

+ Ability to work under demanding timelines, attention to detail and produce error free results

Please note that Citi has entered into an agreement with NAB to acquire its consumer bank in Australia which includes residential mortgages, deposits, and unsecured lending.

The sale is expected to complete in March 2022.

As this is a role to work in Citis consumer bank, the successful candidate will initially be employed by Citi, but on sale completion, their employment will transfer to a NAB (or) a new entity that will employ Citis consumer bank employees, prior to their transfer to NAB.
