Broker Operations Manager, Nutrition Consumer Products

The Broker Operations Manager Role is responsible for managing Abbott’s partnership with a key retail brokerage partners.

The successful individual will have sales management, retail operations and finance management responsibilities across the broker relationship and a national network of retailers.  This person would be expected to make recommendations on how to gain maximum value and meet leadership expectations for retail sales.  This position requires 25% travel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • This person would work directly with the team to drive alignment and sales execution across +60 customer ship points across the Food, Grocery, C-Store, Natural, Military and Hawaii channels of trade.
  • This individual would be responsible for developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and appropriate scorecarding against these key indicators
  • Candidate must have advanced knowledge of each retailer’s structure, in market strategies, assortment and merchandising.
  • Candidate would lead and execute special project management with Abbott home office and Business Unit direction
  • Individual would be responsible for creating and updating sales planning tools for the Business Managers
  • Lead monthly calls between field based sales teams and headquarter support teams to ensure alignment and execution of goals.
  • Responsible for providing coaching, training and guidance to direct staff
  • Owner and leader of bi-weekly retail calls with the Broker and Abbott ROMs to make sure retail initiatives are getting implemented and executed
  • Attend strategic regional retail meetings to ensure compliance across the national network of retailers.  
  • Responsible for management of the budget and forecast; coordinate updates with appropriate financial stakeholders
  • Develops and leads the annual statement of work processes with sales and finance management
  • Promotional management, payment structure forecasting and cost efficiencies analysis will be critical in role
  • Candidate must have the ability to identify and report findings, opportunities and make recommendations to finance and sales leadership.


    Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or related field

    10+ years of Broker Management, or direct Broker experience

    10+ years Food or CPG experience
