BioProduction Development Sales Representative

The BioProduction Development (BPD) Sales Representative for Molecular Devices is responsible for the sales activities associated with the BioProduction Development product platform in the assigned territory.  As a member of the Sales organization, this role is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships directed toward growing Molecular Devices€™ market share, revenue and profitability year over year in the following target market segments: Pharma, BioPharma, Biotechnology, CRO, Environmental  Science, and Academic Research.

Key Responsibilities:
€¢Â Achieve North America revenue goals and targets for the product platform in the assigned territory
€¢Â Performing technical demonstrations, training, installations, customer support on equipment & software
€¢Â Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com
€¢Â Generate accurate monthly forecasting for the assigned territory
€¢Â Perform lead generation activities including but not limited to eblasts, seminars, work days with business partners
€¢Â Attending and participating in Regional and Local Product Shows
€¢Â Results focused €“ consistently monitor territory metrics and take ownership of changes needed to succeed
€¢Â Balanced growth of via both direct channel and distribution channel

€¢Â Bachelor€™s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
€¢Â A minimum of 2-3 years of field sales experience Selling into the life science or drug discovery industry
€¢Â Must be willing to travel up to 50% overnight

€¢Â Knowledge of the Life Science Industry, specifically Biologics drug development and discovery.
€¢Â Skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Salesforce.com CRM Database
