Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Identify and analyze comparable companies for associates and analysts and supervise them to perform complex financial analysis, review work performed by Analysts and Associates. Conduct company due diligence, and assist senior professionals in the sourcing of new clients and transactions. Evaluate operations, business plans and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, and debt and equity financing. Prepare and develop management discussion materials, new business presentations detailing industry trends, business strategy and corporate strategic options, capital market conditions as well as offering memoranda and other legal documents. Identify, source and execute on investment ideas for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Obtain knowledge on all sectors in which clients are interested, e.g. telecommunications, technology, chemicals, diversified industrials, retail, healthcare, amongst others, and present key business trends and issues to senior bankers, potential investors and other stakeholders. Design and oversee the creation of dynamic financial models. Provide ongoing advice to senior executives on transaction strategy and execution and lead clients' internal deal teams. Structure acquisition financing for clients, lead credit approval process and execution of syndication which involves creating marketing materials for Rating Agencies and potential investors. Lead the day to day execution of deals pertaining to capital markets products (initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, acquisition related leveraged finance, etc.) as well as advisory and supervising multiple associates and analysts. Liaise and negotiate with internal (e.g. other industry coverage groups, product groups, Risk group, Commercial and Private Banking) as well as external stakeholders. Create and lead training program for summer interns and incoming analysts including creating, assigning and grading weekly deliverables. Accompany and guide clients, typically C-suite executives, on investor road shows to maximize impact of messaging of investment merits. Supervise nine (9) Analysts.

Requirements: Requires, at minimum, a Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or closely related field and 7 years of post-baccalaureate experience as an Investment Banking Analyst or Associate, or related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in above stated fields and 4 years of experience in above stated positions. Requires 10% of domestic travel. Four (4) years of experience must include: Corporate finance and accounting, ability to read 10-Ks,10-Qs, 424b and other filings and perform financial analysis; Mergers and acquisitions to run sellside and buyside processes; Accretion/dilution analysis to identify the right acquisition targets by analyzing the financial impact of merging with certain targets; Valuation analysis to assess the proper valuation for certain companies to inform the debt structuring process; Private equity industry processes and conduct, including day to day conduct of private equity transactions, real time deal experience and exposure to management teams; Leveraged finance knowledge and experience with structuring acquisition financing; CapitalIQ/Factset/Bloomberg to import and analyze data related to market, equity research, and company filings, and perform benchmarking valuation; Excel modeling to ascertain the proper acquisition financing structure projections to perform sensitivity analyses.
