Job summary
Come work with us to create a collaborative, end-to-end experience for our customers! Our creative team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to own CI/CD (continuous integration and delivery) of Nitro software to worldwide AWS EC2 fleets, to enable best-in-class software performance and homogeneity, while protecting AWS workloads. In this capacity, you will lead cross functional teams that are responsible for software development, testing and delivery of new EC2 instance types and their features.

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess 5-10+ years of leadership experience driving high-impact, technical initiatives, as well as, innovating in a fast-paced and complex environment. Experience in managing software and firmware development with Linux is a plus. A Bachelor's Degree or additional technical experience is required. Candidates possessing a background in software and hardware engineering who have transitioned to a program leadership role will have a distinct advantage.

  • You are comfortable managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to facilitate deep technical discussions to troubleshoot and overcome bottlenecks and issues that are relevant to scaling and performance of distributed systems.
  • Being able to stand up cross-functional teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, eliminate non-value-add activity, design solutions to overcome bottlenecks, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.

The TPM will be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life cycle and have experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development and tracking.

  • Bachelor€™s Degree AND 5+ years of project management experience OR 10+ years of program management experience (experience can be substituted for degree)
  • Experience in core program management disciplines including scope, schedule, requirements tracking, quality, along with risk and critical path management.


  • Master€™s Degree or advanced professional degree
  • Background in Linux-based software engineering, distributed systems engineering
  • Track record of delivering process improvements to streamline and improve efficiency of execution of technical, cross-functional software engineering teams
  • Experience setting and managing expectations in a technical engineering manager capacity
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
· Experience in program managing the development / support of large scale highly available and distributed systems
· Technical Skills - Web technologies, Cloud/AWS
· Exposure to software systems Architecture/Design
· Track record of simplifying, operational excellence and a focus on automation
· Good communication and analytical skills as well as proven process management skills.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $148,677-$201,152./yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
