AVP, Remedial Management Analyst

Citis Commercial Remedial Management Unit is a specialized group within the Risk Management organization that plays a critical role in the management of Citis Commercial bank classified portfolio, providing an objective and independent assessment and management of classified exposures (corporate loans, trade products and the like).

The Remedial Management Analyst is a professional who provides assistance to the Remedial Management Officers in the process of managing portfolios of classified commercial exposures (corporate loans from $1million to 100million) from early problem recognition to the full restructuring or workout. The Remedial Analyst responsibilities include credit analysis, preparation of financial statement spreadsheets, reports and several administrative tasks. The career path for the Remedial Analyst is to be promoted to a Remedial Officer or a Credit Officer after some years of successful work in the Analyst role.


+ Prepare financial spreadsheets by populating the banks debt rating model with financial data from the customers financial statements.

+ Analysis of simple financial statements

+ Preparing reports that require population of specific customer data

+ Preparing simple Annual Reviews and Classified Credit Reports.

+ Monitor the transactional behavior of customers.

+ Contact customers to request financials

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

+ Ability to work autonomously, as well make meaningful contributions as part of a team.

**Specific Skills**

+ Understanding of corporate financial statements like tax returns, balance sheets and P&L statements.

+ Basic knowledge of Banking lending products.

+ Core computer skills MS Office

+ Financial Statement Analysis and Credit Analysis

+ Formal credit training will be a plus

**Education & Experience :**

+ 1- 5 years experience in a financial institution preferably in a position that included credit analysis for corporate entities.

+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business is required.
