Citi Community Capital (CCC) is the community lending and investing arm of Citigroup, housed in the Municipal Securities Division of Citi's Institutional Clients Group.  The CCC Real Estate Risk group supports the CCC business, which provides a comprehensive array of financial products from investment banking to lending and equity investment designed to create strong communities and contribute toward Citigroup's Community Reinvestment Act performance.
CCC works with for-profit and non-profit developers, as well as state and local government agencies on both straightforward and highly structured transactions that may use a combination of taxable and tax-exempt loans or bonds, Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity, and governmental and private subsidies. The real estate developments financed by CCC serve the homeless, seniors, those with disabilities, as well as low income families and individuals. They may also include workforce housing or market rate units and other commercial uses.   CCC works across the US from 13 offices and, according to Affordable Housing Finance Magazine, has been the #1 affordable housing lender in the United States in each of the past seven years.
The CCC Risk Team is responsible for approving, managing and reporting the loan and bond portfolios that have been originated by CCCs Project Finance business unit.
This position requires a keen interest in both real estate and capital markets as well as affordable housing and community development.  Additionally, the candidate should possess strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate reviews and reports both in writing and in oral presentations.
Specific requirements include the following:
             Analyze and identify risks on new transactions, convey opinions on loan approval (or bond purchase), structure and risk rating
             Prepare components of annual and periodic risk reviews of CCCs clients and assist in the documentation and closing of clients financing agreements
             Monitor and review exposures related to a portfolio of structured loans and debt securities while ensuring compliance with credit and equity policies
             Participate in customer calls, attend bank/customer/site meetings and convey opinions in the development and implementation of appropriate client account strategies.
             Complete components required in the remedial management of obligors/relationships with emphasis on optimizing the recovery and proper documentation (reviewing legal docs, preparing classified credit reports, participating in classified reviews, etc.)
             Assist in the preparation of portfolio reviews, product programs, portfolio stress tests and other risk reporting tasks
             Participate in the Fundamental Credit and Risk Review process and other audits


             BA/BS Required.  Course work in real estate finance a plus
             Strong computer, analytical and quantitative skills with ability to perform credit analysis on complex transactions
             Strong writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.
             Excellent attention to detail.
             Willingness to learn new products and programs
