We are seeking a talented executive to join our team in the newly-created role of Associate Vice President, Marketing Data Sciences.The Database Marketing team is a part of Humanas Marketing Organization, supporting marketing initiatives with actionable data and insights across the full consumer lifecycle. Having a solid foundation of data that is accurate and usable is imperative to executing efficient and effective marketing strategies across all Insurance Business Segments (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, Individual Specialty and Employer Group) and Care Business Segments (I.e. Pharmacy, Clinical, Home and CDO). This team functions as the data stewards of all marketing data, ensuring it is certified and meets the corporate standards as enterprise data assets. This team is a key member of supporting the enterprise priority of all data to the cloud, representing marketing data and working collaboratively across the enterprise to ensure all data is democratized and usable across the organization. Additionally, with Humanas focus on integrated care and connected experiences, coupled with the consumers changing expectations of how they interact with Humana, data sources are growing daily, requiring this team to vet and develop integration strategy. In addition to being data stewards of marketing data, this team is charged with developing a holistic marketing measurement strategy to ensure campaign results are measured with a consistent approach throughout all touchpoints of the consumer funnel. The Associate VP, Marketing Data Sciences undertakes detailed analysis of data and mining for insights and employs modeling techniques that offer actionable marketing benefits informing the organization's or client's strategy. This position requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide. He/she will lead a team of 12-15 associates, although that number may grow to twice that number over the next 12-18 months, as the Marketing Data Sciences function continues to evolve.The preferred location for this position is at our corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY, although we will also consider Chicago, Boston, or Dallas locations for strong candidates. Relocation to one of those locations will be required, and relocation assistance will be provided. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities + Integrates data analysis and models into commercial systems which support marketing and product management/development decision making. + Oversees team responsible for analyzing disparate data sources against unified KPIs to provide clear and concise narrative that drives marketing decision + Acts as marketing data steward, managing all aspects of Marketing Data Strategy & Infrastructure across the lifecycle of the consumer (acquisition, engagement, retention) + Creates and executes the roadmap for evolution & integration of marketing data needs + Collaborates with management of various departments to ensure data is aligned with business needs and shared across platforms Key Candidate Qualifications The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing data/analytics leadership roles and will be a strong leader of people with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of the team. This person will have strong personal computer and/or database, mathematical and project management ability, along with proven analytical skills and an ability to support multiple priorities. He/she will have a Bachelors degree, preferably in an analytical discipline such as mathematics, engineering, or computer science; MBA preferred. In addition to the above, the following technical qualifications and personal attributes are also sought: + Experience with marketing data platforms & data model design optimized for marketing systems and marketing analytics + Solid knowledge of enterprise software solutions and marketing platforms such as Adobe Campaign, IBM EMM, etc. and how to structure data for optimal tool performance + Experience with multiple types of health data (3rd party, claims, survey, etc.) + Strong detail-orientation and analytical data and problem-solving skills as it pertains to technical implementation techniques for data collection and integration. + A record of success in attracting, developing, and motivating top talent from inside and outside of the organization, and preparing direct reports for expanded responsibilities + Experience in managing change by leading and energizing others, modeling adaptability, and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity. + Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company (i.e., Fortune 250), with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment + Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences + Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome + Experience managing external vendor relationships + Ability to transform & aggregate data for marketing use to enable high performance campaign development & execution through campaign effectiveness reporting + Prior health insurance industry experience is preferred + Extensive Humana data subject matter expertise is preferred, as is knowledge of key Humana functional areas and lines of business, including Retail, HCS, Marketing, Analytics, IT Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
