The Harborview Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time, temporary/hourly, SPEECH PATHOLOGIST/AUDIOLOGIST SPECIALIST 2. Under general supervision, this individual will assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe audiology services. This will include progression of treatment goals and patient and family education. The Audiologist Specialist will assess and treat a patient caseload ranging from routine to complex patient problems and situations and utilize training in the evaluation and treatment process. Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge. Instruct, assign work and evaluate students as assigned by supervisor. Acts as a resource within the Audiology department for other health care professional. Participate in service or selected department activities/projects to promote delivery of quality audiology services. Provide education training to other audiology staff and health care professionals in areas of expertise within the service. RESPONSIBILITIES: This position provides opportunities to work with established and competent practitioners. The department is team oriented and a dynamic workgroup willing to help each other. We value team communication, motivated to reach to a higher level of care for patients. We work closely with physicians, nurses and other disciplines. REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology or Communicative Disorders or documentation of American Speech-Language Hearing Association approved equivalent to the Master’s degree consisting of approved curriculum and student practicum hours. AND A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Two years of experience as a speech pathologist or audiologist is preferred. LEGAL REQUIREMENT: Licensed as a Speech Pathologist by the WA State Department of Health DESIRED: Three years of experienced as a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist |
