Overview

Riverside Health System is actively seeking an Audiologist to join our growing medical practice in Williamsburg, VA. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $10,000. 

 

Riverside ENT is a multi-office practice currently with 4 ENTs and 1 PA and 3 full-time audiologists. We have offices in Newport News, Gloucester, and Williamsburg. We are looking to add a 4th full-time Audiologist to work primarily at our Williamsburg office. Must be willing to work in multiple offices (Newport News or Gloucester) to help to cover as needed. All audiologists help cover and support each other to provide vacations and time off as needed.

 

Williamsburg is a small one audiologist/one ENT office. The audiologist would cover the ENT schedule part-time and have their own patient schedule part-time.

 

Audiology services for all ages but primarily the adult population. Services provided:

  • Comprehensive audiometry
  • Tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, and OAEs
  • Hearing aid evaluations, fitting and follow-up care

 The Audiologist works under the supervision of the Lead Audiologist and/or Office Manager as applicable. By virtue of academic degree, clinical training, license to practice, and/or professional credentialing, is qualified to provide a comprehensive array of professional services related to the prevention of hearing loss and the audiological identification assessment diagnosis and treatment of persons with impairment of auditory and vestibular function and to the prevention of impairments associated with them. Dispenses hearing aids and releases accessories. Functions as an independent practitioner who provides services in an ENT settings.

The area is very unique with a large number of military bases and several large colleges and universities as well as other large healthcare systems. The attractions are endless with so many historical sites to visit and a long list of museums and theaters.

Qualifications

Education: Masters or Doctoral degree, America Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certification or current Board Certification from the American Academy of Audiology or equivalent.Licensure/Certification: VA State licensure in Audiology, State licensure in Hearing Aid Dispensing.
