**A Day in the life**


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned


+ Meet/exceed Structural Heart (SH) sales revenue and market share growth targets across Korean market

+ Provide clinical and technical consultation and training to customers* for TranscatheterValve procedures, including Evolut R/PRO TAVI and Melody Transcatheter Pulmonic Valve (TPV) procedures

+ Define, align and execute Korean market development strategy and regional/country-level initiatives

+ Provide educational support at national and global physician societal meetings, Medtronic training events

+ Collaborate closely with the local country cardiac surgery and coronary sales teams to identify further business development opportunities and reinforce customer engagement efforts

+ Ensure that the Companys agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.


*Customers may include physicians, study coordinators, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, radiology technicians, cath lab/operating room personnel, anesthesia, purchasing personnel, etc.


**Key Accountabilities:**


1. Provides clinical consultation during SH procedures including but not limited to, TAVI and TPV:

2. Serves as trusted technical expert for Transcatheter products

3. Is present in a consultative role at SH procedures

4. Perform and train scrub to load the SH implants in the sterile field

5. Resource for support staff for ancillary product needs, educated and able to provide advice on ancillary procedures

6. Provides third party reference/experience for troubleshooting techniques

7. Up to date on published literature and recommendations

8. Know and advise on Evolut Platform IFU and Melody IFUs

9. Coordinate and support physician proctor

10. Available to other Therapy Development Specialists for on-call technical support

11. Reporting device or procedure related events, i.e. Medical Device Report (MwDR)

12. Responsible for SH products (i.e., shipment, confirmation of receipt, usage, billing

13. Marketing and Market Development

14. Co-develop Korea business plans, market development strategies and cross-functional initiatives to maximize short and long-term potential for the SH product portfolio - growing the market, increasing revenue and market share.

15. Ensure successful market introductions as new approvals are granted, driving implementation of strategic and tactical programs for all assigned products.

16. Assist in the development and direction of the product marketing plan for assigned products within the Transcatheter (TCV) valve portfolio, guided by goals established by product management and the annual operating plan, with the goal of achieving and maintaining a leading market position.

17. Provide regular feedback to management regarding project status, as well as other critical issues which affect the attainment of project completion dates.

18. Establish and manage budgets for projects that fall within areas of responsibility.

19. Assist with the identification of current and future market needs and the understanding of direct and indirect competition. Develop in-depth understanding of assigned product and marketing area.

20. Customer Education

21. Participate in physician training programs and participate in physician case observations

22. Serve as an expert on the Evolut and Melody simulators, set-up, demonstrations and trouble shooting.

23. In-service implant team and support staff.

24. Safe and efficacious use of catheter based products.

25. Technical explanation and demonstration of catheter-based products.

26. Demonstrate and explain Evolut and Melody loading procedures.

27. Coding department on reimbursement / coding (if applicable)

28. Anesthesia dept.

29. ICU (post-op management).

30. Imaging dept Trans Thoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Angiography, Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) protocols

31. Materials Management, Ordering / Billing / Return procedures.

32. Consults with physicians and site coordinator (Preoperative, peri-operative and post-operative)

33. Liaison for study site coordinator and MDT Clinical and Regulatory personnel regarding protocol (if applicable)

35. help secure necessary studies and convey film-sending policy.

36. Attend various trade shows t

37. support promotional (where appropriate) or educational activities.

38. Participates in any other planned customer education programs.

39. Assists Marketing in developing physician/patient education materials.

40. Customer Support

41. Point of contact for Hospital and physicians for anything Melody and Evolut related.

42. Work with Marketing and implanting and non-implanting site to increase enrolment/procedure volume.

43. Development of effective screening strategies

45. Hospital-originated press releases

46. Patient marketing (where permitted by local law)

47. Develop and nurture relationships with primary and secondary implanters, their referral partners, administrative leadership, office personnel and support staff

48. Support assigned non-implanting sites in preparation/readiness assessment

49. Medtronic Employee Training/Education

50. Assists in training new hires to Medtronic SH team

51. Train / educate local Medtronic reps of other divisions where required

52. Monitors and identifies any educational needs.

53. Delivers training to Medtronic personnel regarding competitive products and their capabilities.

54. Resource for RD for technology improvements and next generation activities.

55. Administrative Responsibilities

56. Submits accurate and timely reports to management on a monthly basis regarding travel and support rendered

57. Supports clinical study compliance requirements (if applicable)

58. Completes expense reports with necessary documentation.

59. Schedules travel arrangements to ensure multiple objectives are accomplished.

60. Comes to cases prepared with appropriate products and clinical literature

61. Balances administrative duties with other job responsibilities.

62. Maintain certification eligibility; CME/CEU requirements

63. Identifies and maintains all requirements for various hospital credentialing (Reptrax, etc.)

64. Maintains expertise and knowledge in relation to Medtronic Cardiac Surgery and Coronary products.

65. Work within and actively promote Medtronics core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ 0 years of experience required with an introductory knowledge of company products and services.

+ Bachelor's Degree Required


**Additional Requirements**


+ New hire or a maximum of 2 year of previous sales experience in medical devices, medical equipment or Pharmaceutical industry

+ Experience with interventional cardiology (wire, balloons, catheters, stents) is preferred, some experience/exposure in cardiac surgery surgical aortic valve repair.

+ Previous teaching experience is a desirable background along with previous experience in nursing or surgical assistance

+ Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software

+ Baccalaureate degree

+ Full hearing, sight and speech ability

+ Required to wear lead apron for long periods of time (2-3 hours average) during cases

+ Lifting of weighted equipment (suitcases, product boxes, protective gear etc.)

+ Overseas travel at short notice is likely to be required

+ Out of hours work may be required
