Position overview

The Simulation Solutions & Services (SS&S) department seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented Software Engineer to work on the development of new and exciting simulation systems and products ranging in complexity from desktop trainers to high fidelity weapon systems for both commercial and military customer. Primary Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, integrate, test, and debug real time systems software

+ Work with cross functional team to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions within specified budget, schedule, and scope

+ Support, maintain, and enhance existing software products

+ Participate in customer reviews, technical working groups, and demos

+ Generate engineering design documentation and participate in peer reviews

+ Provide accurate time estimates for their software development efforts

+ Actively learn new technologies and techniques and apply them to new domains and problem sets

+ Travel to support onsite installation and integration activities

+ Strong teaming and customer focus

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Active Clearance (within 24 months)

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree OR

+ In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Proficiency in C/C++

+ Object-Oriented Design and Programming

+ Usage of Configuration Management tools (SVN, Git, ClearCase, etc.)

+ Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Visual Studio or Eclipse

+ Windows 10, and/or Linux software development

+ Agile, Kanban, or SCRUM development methodologies
