As an Associate Scientist you will work with a group of talented scientists in Mass Spectrometry & Characterization group and provide characterization support for biopharmaceutical products using a variety of analytical and biophysical techniques.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Design and execute analytical characterization experiments to support biopharmaceutical process development and product characterization, and to deliver a high-quality experimental data and write up experimental reports in a timely manner.
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods based on knowledge of biological and analytical techniques as needed.
  • Conduct characterization method qualification work and transfer the developed assays to the GMP testing labs; contribute to write up qualification reports and SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot technical and instrumental issues and identify appropriate resources to resolve the issues timely.
  • Plans, prioritizes and delivers work to appropriate Company and Regulatory standards suitable for the task (e.g. GMP, Data Integrity, Health Safety and Environment).
  • Maintains cleanliness in communal work areas.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Pharmaceutics or a related field.
  • Familiar with variety of analytical and biophysical lab techniques, including sample preparation, HPLC, MS, vibrational spectroscopy, IR, DSC etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Must be a self-motivated to learn and develop new techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively individually as well as in team and matrix environments.
  • Capable of performing multiple tasks efficiently, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
  • Analytical lab experience in pharmaceutical industry, contract research labs or biotech field.
  • Experience in biopharm product development
  • Knowledge of Labware (or other LIMS)
  • Knowledge of Empower
