Primary Job Apply scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to complete basic engineering assignments.

Core Job Responsibilities Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

1.  Responsible for planning and conducting small-sized assigned projects  requiring conventional types of plans, investigations and / or equipment;

2.  Participate and / or assist other engineers in project tasks by applying standard engineering theories, concepts and techniques;

3.  Apply standard engineering principles and methodologies to interpret problems; create/modify designs; draw conclusions and recommend options for  solutions;

4.  Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards;

5.  Participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals;

6.  Other tasks and duties as assigned;

7.  Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations;

8.  Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.

Position Accountability / Scope Works under the supervision of more experienced engineers who review results for overall accuracy, completeness and soundness of technical judgment;  recognizes risks versus the relative gains associated with actions; understands  a project's critical success factors and makes recommendations and decisions impacting those factors; responsible to meet established objectives and goals;  drives functional performance to ensure that cross-functional standards and  expectations are met; may assist in the training of personnel as directed by management; 

Minimum Education Bachelor's degree (ENGINEERING - Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, BioMedical) equivalent technical experience and demonstrated  competence required

Minimum Experience / Training

Entry level position in which 0-2 years of experience is typical to meet the  skills and responsibilities of the position.

Candidates / incumbents should possess the following:    

- ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; 

- display socially and professionally appropriate behavior;      

- ability to work independently and in groups;  ability to work cross-functionally;     

- demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical-thinking skills;      

- ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software;

- strong organizational and project management skills;      

- ability or aptitude to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review of alternatives;      

- ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding or skills and is willing to learn;

Engineers trained in one branch of the Engineering field may work in related branches of engineering provided demonstrated transferable skills.
