 Practice Summary:
GT’s IP and Technology Practice provides strategic counsel for clients requiring in-depth understanding of both specialized technology and the complex dynamics of worldwide distribution. Our experience encompasses an array of industries and technologies – from biotechnology, business methods, electronics and e-commerce to consumer products, fashion and apparel, media and entertainment. In addition, many of our attorneys gained firsthand experience in a range of technical disciplines – both in academia and industry – prior to entering the legal field.
Job Requirements:
We are seeking an Intellectual Property & Technology Associate to join our Houston office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-7 years experience writing and prosecuting patent applications and portfolio management; degree and/or graduate study experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science; and experience with a broad range of technologies including nanotechnology, medical devices and software.  IP Litigation experience is a plus, as there will be some opportunity in this area as well. Excellent analytical skills, writing skills, academic record, and registration to practice before the USPTO required.
