Provide technical, educational,
clinical and sales support to assist the Region in meeting AF Solutions sales
and customer service objectives.

**A DAY IN THE LIFE:POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Technical Support / Clinical Support


+ Represents Medtronic AFS duringablations procedures to provide troubleshooting and other technicalassistance

+ Receives technical inquiries bycustomers. Researches solutions to questions or problems (e.g., Catheter,Console, Generator support)


+ Educational Support


+ Educates and trains physicians,hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to AFSproducts and related procedures.


+ One-on-one training sessions

+ In-service education programs

+ Seminars and/or outside symposiums

+ Assists RM and field training department ineducating/training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers

+ Provides training and resources for hospital staff toenable them to conduct training for their personnel

+ Sales Support


+ Updates sales representativesconcerning procedure. Immediately notifies Account Manager regardingissues or problems requiring follow-up

+ Serves as effective MedtronicAFS representative to physicians and support staff regarding MedtronicAFS products, service and support

+ Promotes the safe and effectiveuse of Medtronic AFS products and related procedures

+ Understands national, regionaland territory sales objectives. Works in partnership with Account Managerto achieve exceed goals


**MUST HAVE - BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**


_IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASICQUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME_


+ Highschool degree and 6+ OR Associates degree and 2+ years of work experience in ahealthcare or engineering field OR

+ Bachelorsdegree


**NICE TO HAVE - DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ Preferencewill be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronicexperience

+ B.A./B.S.Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical disciplinewith minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field,hospital/clinic or sales

+ Pacing school/ATI-liketraining program in addition to BQs is preferred

+ Proven trackrecord with technical training assignments

+ Experience inthe cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EPmedical sales providing technical / clinical support


**PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor tochair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the samelevel

+ Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hoursper day

+ Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectiousdisease and radiation

+ Ability to wear 7-9 lbs of lead for extended periods oftime while in the O.R.

+ Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feelobjects, tools or controls

+ Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard andmouse

+ Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus inrelation to travel and operating a personal computer

+ Infectiousdisease; radiation; blood borne pathogens

+ Mustbe able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)


**WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**


+ Continuous verbal and written communication

+ Ability to travel extensively with ease (approx. 10% oftime)

+ Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time withinassigned territory

+ Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation

+ Clinical Specialists are required to be within theirassigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise.Clinical Specialists are periodically required to work weekends, eveningsand nights. Clinical Specialists serve as a primary resource for scheduledand on-call assignments and as a back up to sales representatives duringunassigned weekends, evenings and nights

+ Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicleinsurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewedand will be considered as part of your application
