Assistant Vice President, Cash & Trade Processing

The Cash & Trade Proc Mgr. is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to manage a Cash and Trade Operations team, apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to reach solutions and ensure deliverables are completed efficiently and accurately.

Key/Primary Responsibilities:

+ Managing a team of supervisors and processors handling document preparation for platinum clients in Asia countries. Ensure the team delivers services in line with the agreed service standards and turnaround time to meet customer's expectation.

+ Build strong and effective relationships with key partners across operations, technology, coverage, client segment, products and the region.

+ Provide technical support to Product & Coverage Team on trade finance/trade services matters.

+ Optimize resource allocation to deliver an outstanding client experience in a cost effective manner.

+ Work in partnership with the Business (Sales, Coverage, Trade Product) & Implementation in defining service delivery expectation for new on-boarded document preparation deals.

+ Participate and lead trade related service review particularly on document preparation with the client.

+ Drive core and smart automation agenda for trade document preparation, implement innovations which may help in achieving goals on saves.

+ Act as a primary contact in Operations to drive, coordinate and oversee all document preparation related initiatives, projects and system enhancements to deliver the desired results.

+ Ensure awareness and adherence to trade finance's rules, regulations, policies, guidelines and practices.

+ Ensure comprehensive/updated control processes are in place and are being adhered to.

+ Ensure minimal service complaints and prompt resolution if there is any.

+ Continuous process improvement to enhance client experience, control environment & reduction in cost.

+ Monitor the performance of team members, recognize and reward outstanding efforts and/or define specific corrective action plans for improvement.

+ Work with team members in identifying skills and training gaps and work on an action plan to achieve improvements and further professional development for each team member.

+ Take appropriate actions to motivate team and help them to achieve the team goals.

Qualifications and skills required:

+ A Bachelors degree or post-graduate qualification.

+ 7+ years of Operations & Technology experience preferably in trade operations with minimum 5 years of managerial/supervisory exposure.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.

+ Ability to handle work pressure efficiently.

+ Highly motivated and energetic.

+ Independent thinker and self-starter.

+ A good team leader who has the ability to motivate others.


+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
