We have an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Center for Pain Relief at University of Washington Medical Center. The Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) provides nursing leadership to deliver therapeutic care and coordination of services through the peri-anesthesia ambulatory environment and through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.  The Assistant Nurse Manager also provides therapeutic care of patient undergoing interventional pain procedures;  pre-, intra- and post-operative as staffing dictates.

Our CENTER FOR PAIN RELIEF RNs help provide treatment for patients with cancer pain, pain related to nerve damage, and certain neurosurgically treated problems.  Medical treatments include spinal anesthetic blocks, epidural steroid injections, and IV medical infusions.  Behavioral treatments include medication management, stress management, teaching of coping techniques such as relaxation and biofeedback and psychological counseling.

Position is 100% days, Monday - Friday, and requires WA RN license, BSN, at least two years of current/recent med-surg nursing experience, prior leadership experince and conscious sedation experience in a procedural care setting.  Previous Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3 or charge nurse experience, ambulatory care experience, ACLS and conscious sedation certification preferred.
