Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3); to work in our Pioneer Square Downtown programs which focus on Harborview's mission population to address health equity issues by increasing access to care in our unique primary care settings, homeless shelters, housing programs or community settings for people without housing or vulnerable housed. This position will be sited in one of our primary care clinics; Pioneer Square Clinic and may require some time working in one of the other primary care clinics in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs.  Must be skilled at taking care of people with comorbid conditions including  substance use/abuse, mental illness and complex physical health conditions with the ability  work collaboratively with an outside agency and transitions of care from ED or hospital discharge. 

The position is currently open for 100% FTE (40 hours per week) day shifts Monday - Friday and may be in various locations within the PSQ downtown programs.

The RN3/Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) performs specific functions related to clinical practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Health Services Manager, the Program Operations Specialist and the Medical Director. Provides leadership for clinic and divisional activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others. Serves as a role model and provides guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance.
Under general supervision, the professional nurse at the RN3 level utilizes the nursing process [assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation] to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and families. Makes independent judgements/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington AND two years of professional nursing experience.
Desirable Qualifications: 
Must have a passion for working with an underserved, disenfranchised homeless population. Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care.
