Assistant General Counsel, Employment Law

The Global Employment Law team within Citis Corporate Legal department seeks an experienced employment lawyer to support its Global Functions and Enterprise O&T organizations.
This position will provide employment law advice and counsel on a wide range of complex employment matters, including: offers and separations; employee compensation; discipline and discharge issues; diversity and inclusion; employee investigations; whistleblower matters; ADA, FMLA and other leave issues; wage and hour compliance; reductions-in-force; state law issues; and restrictive covenants.
The position also manages a robust and complex litigation docket and associated outside counsel spend and creates and delivers training to HR and business managers on a host of employment related topics. In addition, the successful candidate will function as an expert resource for the team and internal stakeholders on various assigned subject matters (such as diversity, offboarding, and non-employee management) that rotate regularly across the employment law team, and will have the opportunity to support project work related to transformation and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
+ Juris Doctor degree, State bar admission
+ Minimum 7 years employment law experience. In-house experience, and financial services experience, is a plus.
+ Strong written and verbal communications
+ Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
+ Ability to identify and efficiently resolve issues independently
+ Tampa location preferred
