Asia Pacific Data CAO Manager

The Business Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. Manages ad hoc projects as needed.


+ Partner with local and regional business management team to ensure alignment of business goals

+ Manage a team by providing technical knowledge, coaching, evaluation, determining hiring etc.

+ Assist leadership and stakeholders with developing projects, determining strategies, and defining/providing metrics

+ Advance control framework including executing Managers Control Assessment testing, operational loss processes, and corrective actions

+ Prepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/ or regular business meetings

+ Seek out sources, track, consolidate and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requests

+ Drive implementation of business-driven projects across functions, working closely with relevant senior leadership

+ Provide input into and recommend technology change, process improvements and control framework enhancements

+ Seek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control related issues and remedial action is taken

+ Communicate business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and internal support functions

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


+ 6-10 years of experience in financial markets business or business support

+ Experience with foreign exchange and/or interest rate products preferred

+ Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint preferred

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


+ Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

+ Masters degree preferred

The Asia Pacific Data Chief Administrative Office (Data CAO) is part of the Asia Pacific Federated Chief Data Office (Asia Pacific FCDO). Its purpose is to promote regional awareness and adoption of global data frameworks and standards, and to continuously improve the strategic and operational integrity of the Asia Pacific FCDO to ensure that it is equipped and enabled to fulfil its mandate and commitments to its stakeholders. The Asia Pacific Data CAO is a horizontal and enabling function across all parts of the Asia Pacific FCDO organisation.

**Role Description**

The Asia Pacific Data CAO Manager supports the Asia Pacific Data Chief Administrative Officer (Data CAO) in the supervision and control of the internal operating and administrative practices of the Asia Pacific FCDO. The Data CAO Manager also acts as a central source of statistical and contextual information about the Asia Pacific FCDO to stakeholders across the region and globally.

The role requires strong working relationships across the Asia Pacific FCDO, within the Asia Pacific region and into the Enterprise Chief Data Office.

**Key responsibilities**

+ Maintains departmental budget, forecasting, cost management,

financial tracking and reporting

+ Ensures that all budget, forecasting and cost management, financial tracking and reporting processes and tools are documented and understood within the Asia Pacific FCDO

+ Ensures that Asia Pacific FCDO fulfils all budget and headcount reporting requirements to global (Enterprise CDO) and regional Finance and HR

+ Facilitates business case development and approvals process for changes to financial and headcount resources

+ Coordinates with Asia Pacific FCDO hiring managers and HR to successfully onboard and transfer staff

+ Acts as a central source of information for any incoming statistical and contextual queries and ensures accurate and timely responses

+ Prepares periodic and adhoc statistical and contextual information required by the Asia Pacific FCDO

Experience and Qualifications

+ Bachelors/university degree essential

+ Experience of working in a complex global organisation

+ Budgeting and cost management involving people and technology

+ Process mindset with strong communication and influencing skills

+ Competent in preparing and curating statistical and contextual information
