**Key Responsibilities:**

BAU operation:

+ Review capacity and monitoring of our applications and design, then implement or manage enhancements to improve their stability

+ Analyze the issues being raised against our applications and design, then implement or manage enhancements to prevent any future occurrences of these problems or issues

+ Create, document and maintain Knowledge Management systems for our applications

+ Review and maintain robust continuity of business processes

+ Provide technical solutions and liaise with the Operations business during critical production outages

+ Manage the remediation tasks following critical outages, to avoid repeat failures

+ Work with the Development and Release teams to ensure robust software implementations.

+ Provide reporting to Operations and Technology Management, that facilitate strategic and tactical initiatives

+ Liaise with Operations business in translating their problems in to technical solutions

+ Provide technical and business solutions to off-shore teams who require direction in their approach

+ Create innovative solutions and proactive approaches to optimizing processes

+ Follow thru to ensure each problem is resolved according to SLA

+ Effectively communicate issues and status updates with business users, second level support, and development teams

**Knowledge/Experience (Essential) :**

+ Experience in Production support or software development for 5-8 years, preferrably in financial industry.

+ Experience in ITIL would be beneficial

+ Experience in a demanding environment, working to strict deadlines

+ Experience in a service based environment would be beneficial

+ Experience in analysing and solving problems


Following technical skills are important to the role.

+ Oracle / ORAS / Mongo DB / Sybase

+ SQL, advanced database and query writing experience

+ Ability to support and/or code in applications such as Java

+ Autosys / Cron / Quartz

+ MQ, Tibco EMS, Weblogic

+ ITRS, ServiceNow

+ Unix Shell or Perl Scripting

+ Nice to have: DevOps automation skills, API skills

+ GlassBox, AppDynamics and ECS OpenShift knowledge will be advantage


+ Ability to communicate well at all levels

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Self-motivating

+ Ability to work in a team environment

+ Ability to learn new skills quickly with little supervision


+ Possess strong communication skills, in both verbal and written format.

+ Well organized and able to multi-task.

+ Planning, delegation, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

+ Team-oriented with a collegial approach to addressing challenges.

+ Will be a highly-motivated, strong performer with a proven ability to manage remote vendor teams to full effectiveness.

+ Willingness and proactivity to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.

+ Desire, and proven ability, to constantly improve technical environments and platforms.

+ Must have strong attention to detail and not be willing to settle for a job half done.

+ Be flexible with working hours, to react to situations within the production support environment.
