As\ran Application Engineer II for Honeywell Intelligrated, you will provide\rhardware, mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and technical service\restimates for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) for Lifecycle Sales and Support\r(LSS) projects. The position provides accurately documented Proposals and\rEstimates describing scope, schedule, price and responsibilities utilizing\restimating tools and software while following corporate requirements and\rguidelines. The position reports through the Concepting and Estimating\r(C&E) department and interfaces directly with Sales representatives,\rProposal Delivery Group, Engineering, Project Management, Installation, Legal,\rFinance, Executives, and with customers. An Application Engineer II will work\rindependently while providing training, guidance to and reviewing the work of\rthe Application Engineer I team.
Lead\ra Sales Directional Meeting and quickly determine a solution with the most\rcustomer value
Directly\rcommunicate with the customer to define the scope of work
Apply\rjudgement considering customer value and department strategic direction
Consider\rpromotion of Honeywell innovations to increase customer and HON ROI value\r& gm%
Make\rthe correct technical and financial decisions with little to no guidance\rincluding limited changes to costing during the review process
Urgently\rfocus on things with the most influence on cost and make educated assumptions\rfor the rest
Develop\rand succinctly describe the scope of work and assumptions in the proposal
Identify\rand establish the costs required to deliver the scope of work directly or by\rworking with subject matter experts 
Collect\rand understand as-built documentation to support one for one equipment\rreplacements
Lead\ra team through the completion of proposals groups for key customers (annual\rcapitol expense budgeting)
Clearly\rorganize and present complex estimates to management

  • Bachelor€™s\r degree in Engineering or equivalent in education and experience
  • Familiar with\r Material Handling Equipment
  • Proficient with\r Microsoft O365 applications especially Word and Excel
  • Utilize AutoCAD\r to open as-built drawings for research and to approximate layout changes

    • Understanding of\r simple electrical field device layout drawings
    • Knowledge of\r Controls, Software, and integrated system design
    • Ability to\r identify, document, and estimate the potential impact of project risk
    • Ability to\r generate new or utilize existing estimate template spreadsheets that show\r costing breakdowns utilizing prior project metrics & comparisons
    • Working beyond\r your comfort zone to continually increase value to the team
    • Willingness to\r travel, as needed, with Sales to Customer sites to evaluate solutions
